Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

AS ANOTHER ORDINARY DAY

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

(Qur’ān 03:156). ‘Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Kafarū’, ‘O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “O believers, guard yourselves. Do not be with the oppressors and Kafirs”.

People of the the present time think it is a skill to always go against Allah ﷻ. They think it is something good. Therefore, we must be careful. As the days belong to Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, don’t spend them in disobedience. Some days seem like they prepare the whole world for disobedience to Allah ﷻ. The New Year, this and that are the days made up by Kafirs. You shouldn’t give importance to them. They are just like other days.

People make preparations for these days. Getting ready as if something will happen and then committing various sins doesn’t bring any benefit. It doesn’t bring goodness. It brings loss. They will pass like ordinary days. Either New Year, or another day, or I don’t know what; as we said, they made up these days in order to commit a lot of sins. As we said, they have no profit. They bring loss but no profit.

To whom is this loss? To people who give importance to these days and commit sins. It is a big loss. It is a loss in every respect. It is a big loss mainly from the spiritual side and also from the physical side, because it is something without Barakah. It is unfortunate. As they want to spend the whole year in luck and do nonsense things, it will turn out otherwise. The whole year will be unlucky and without Barakah. It will lead to the wrath of Allah ﷻ as is something that Allah ﷻ dislikes.

People should not give importance to the New Year and this and that. Clever people don’t value it. There is nothing special about it that brings luck. Every day is similar. Therefore, lucky are the people on the way of Allah ﷻ. Repenting to Allah ﷻ and saying, “We committed so many sins this year. Even though this year is not important, still, another year is gone from our lives. Therefore, I repent and ask for forgiveness of my sins committed this year, ya Rabbi!” may be counted as an opportunity.

Otherwise, when you show commit more sins and think you will attain goodness from it, don’t even hope for it! Don’t think of it! Badness comes with badness, sins come with sins. And with sins comes badness, not goodness. May Allah ﷻ protect people. May we not be cheated by shaytan and the followers of shaytan. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
