ALWAYS ASK FORGIVENESS
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ
(Qur’ān 99:07-08).
Allah Azza wa Jalla says, ‘Faman Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Khayrāan Yarah (7) Wa Man Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Sharrāan Yarah ( 8 )’, ‘So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it (7) And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it ( 8 ).’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in this beautiful Ayah in the Qur’an. No matter how much goodness a person does, he will see its goodness and reward, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Even if it is just one small deed, it doesn’t end either. It will certainly reach you, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. And the one who commits evil will find its punishment. Even if it is a little or a lot, he will surely find his punishment.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla also showed us the way to be saved from the punishment. If you repent while alive, while you are breathing, that repentance is acceptable in the sight of Allah ﷻ. But when the soul leaves the body, you can’t breathe or do anything anyway – At that time, you will suffer that punishment.
Therefore, thinking about what you did and what sin you committed while you’re in this world – or all of them, as our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam said, say everyday a hundred times, seventy times “AstaghfiruLlah.” “Even I say them”, says our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam. He ﷺ has no sin. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam has nothing [of mistakes]. Even so, he ﷺ says seventy times “AstaghfiruLlah.” Even for us, if you say everyday seventy times “AstaghfiruLlah”, a hundred times “AstaghfiruLlah” or more, you will be clean from sins. You will be free from this burden. Because as Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Qur’ān ‘Azimu sh-Shan, if it remains for the hereafter, even if it is as small as an atom, you will see its punishment. If it is a good deed, it is not lost also. Even if it is as small as an atom also, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will give its reward. He ﷻ won’t leave it like this.
Therefore, people are in heedlessness in this world. People are in heedlessness and misguidance. They have no mind and they engage in useless and dangerous works. Do not throw yourself in danger, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. All people nowadays are in rebellion; as if it is an ingenuity. They go against Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They deny Allah ﷻ. They go against the religion. They leave the religion. As if it is a skill, they act cool thinking they are something important. They do these things that – Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, if they do not repent, may Allah ﷻ protect us, they will stay in hell forever. To just leave prayer, supplication or other things, there is still an exit for that. But if these people make mistakes, enter Kufr and say they left religion, Allah ﷻ will surely make them see there the punishment of what they did. May Allah ﷻ protect us all in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
