Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
FEARING HIM ﷻ IS WHAT SAVES US
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
(Qur’ān 16:128). ‘Inna Llāha ma‘a lladhīna it-taqaw wa lladhīna hum muḥsinūn’, ‘Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is together with those who fear Him ﷻ and those who do goodness, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. People who fear Allah ﷻ don’t harm anyone. They strive to do goodness to everyone. They are beloved servants of Allah ﷻ and Awliya of Allah ﷻ.
It is easy to say but most of the time difficult to do this. It is difficult to find such people, because the ego misleads people and makes them wild. They think they are important and go according to their own minds, not according to their own minds but as their egos order. When they do so, there is no benefit in the things they do. Otherwise, they carry out the order of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, and that’s it. There is no virtue in things apart from that. There is no pleasure of Allah ﷻ.
People who follow their egos and are conceited by their egos, arrogant people: everything they do is useless. They may save themselves, but sometimes they cannot. And those who follow them impact others as well. It happens like that of course, because arrogance is from the attributes disliked by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This attribute is the means for everything people do to be wasted. That is a trick of shaytan. He cheats people and doesn’t want them to have any benefit. He always wants them to be like him, so that everything they do is useless. Sometimes it is useless, and sometimes it is harmful.
As these people don’t fear Allah ﷻ, they are capable of doing all kinds of badness. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. Whoever it may be; this person may be a great person who brought great benefit to us, did this and that. That is not important. What’s important is whether he fears Allah ﷻ or rebels against Allah ﷻ, whether he showed the right way to people or misled them. This is what’s important.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is together with those who fear Him ﷻ. The rest may be the greatest or the smallest ones of the world, that’s not important. What’s important is to be together with Allah ﷻ. What’s important is to be with those who are with Allah ﷻ. The rest is not important at all! Dunya will remain in Dunya. No matter if you are rich or poor, wherever you are, if Allah ﷻ is with you, you are saved. Otherwise, even if the whole world is yours, it has no benefit. May we fear Allah ﷻ. May we ask for beneficence from Allah ﷻ, because the deeds we do that Allah ﷻ likes happen by His ﷻ beneficence. Tests occur otherwise. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May He ﷻ not test us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
