WE KNOW AL-MAHDĪ WILL COME
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says that one of the signs of the end of times is that there will be “Harj wa Marj.” Every word our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam has spoken in his ﷺ language is the highest word. Sometimes even those who know Arabic do not understand what it means. Many times, they would ask our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They asked, “What is Harj wa Marj?” It means killing and murders. Killing people will increase, said our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. It is from the signs of the end of times.
Therefore, there are seen world incidents, and there are many more unseen ones. The unseen ones are much more than the seen ones. Murders, killing people, harassment of people and the displacement of people from their homes and homelands are many. What is shown is little.
This is from the signs of this time. Dunyā in the end of times is over now. There is nothing left. There is no humanity left. There are no manners left. There is no goodness left. All the evil is happening in this time. Which means that the time our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam told about is the time we are living in.
Of course, it would happen in the past. But at that time there was an Islamic state. There were people ruling us. The Muslims had a Khalīfah, the Khalīfah of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. His command was applied. His will was applied. And now by the wisdom of Allāh ﷻ, in order for these things to appear, they [Caliphs] do not exist.
That is why people will suffer in hardship, and Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will eventually send a savior. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam gave good tidings about this. With his ﷺ good tidings, we all wait for that person. Because there is nothing anyone of us can do about it. Only when he comes, when that person comes, the whole world will reach safety in shā’a Llāh; Muslims and non-Muslims also. He will be a means of guidance for them too.
But these difficult days are the days we are living. It becomes easier when a person knows what is happening. He will have both reward and benefit. Because the person who does not know thinks about what will happen and what will remain. “We will be harmed.” Everything whether harm or goodness, whatever there is, has reward and benefit for the Muslim, the believer. Everything is beneficial for the person who believes in Allāh ﷻ and follows the way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Nothing goes in vain. But for the kāfir, everything is a loss. Even if he thinks he has won, it is also a loss. If he doesn’t win, that’s also a loss. May Allāh ﷻ strengthen our īmān. May He ﷻ send the Ṣāḥib to Muslims, to believers. May He ﷻ save the oppressed ones soon in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ make us reach those days soon in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
