Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
LOVE WHOM ALLĀH ﷻ LOVES
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has servants whom He ﷻ loves. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ﴿62﴾ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ ﴿63﴾
(Qur’ān 10:62-63). Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, ‘Alā inna Awliyā’ Llahi lā kḥawfun ‘alayhim wa lā hum yaḥzanūn ﴾62﴿ ‘Alladhīna āmanū wakānū yattaqūn ﴾63﴿’, ‘Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve ﴾62﴿ Those who believed and have been pious ﴾63﴿’. Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
They are the beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. There is no fear for them and no sadness. Likewise, those who are with them are the same. They have no fear and no sadness. Because they are loyal. A loyal person is the one who is never treacherous and never does any evil. He pays attention to the word he gives. They are the people who keep their word. Their Pir is our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam, Sayyidina Muhammad ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam. They follow his ﷺ path.
That way is for the person to be a human. Who is the human? The human is the creature whom Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla created and gave the opportunity to ascend to the highest levels. If they follow this way, they will be people who are accepted in the sight of Allah ﷻ. Their way is the way of salvation. It is the way of happiness. In this world, they do not feel sadness for this world. They guide people to the right way. They show people the right way. And those who are with them will surely have great benefits. Their benefits are both here and hereafter.
The way of the Prophets, the Sahabah and those together with them is to spread light to the whole world. To illuminate with light.
Bringing people out from darkness to light, giving relief to people. This is their way.
Serving them – they do not ask service from anyone anyways. Their demand is to serve people themselves. Their service to people is to show them the right way. But those who are with them and help them for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ, great benefits reach them; for both themselves and their lineage: their sons, children and family. Mercy will certainly reach them too.
This is the way of ‘Awliya. The way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the way of mercy. To have mercy towards people, to serve them. As we said, he who serves will be served as well. If he was given only one as a reward for that service, Allah ﷻ gives a hundred thousand more. Its benefit is great for those who understand. He certainly attains happiness.
The path of all ‘Awliya is the same. “This is different, this is so.” There is no such distinction. They are certainly the beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. Their benefits towards people are to humanity. Their benefits are for all humanity. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam says, “بِهِم تُمْطَرُون، بِهِم تُرْزَقُون ، بِهِم تُنْصَرُون”, “Bihim tumṭarūn, bihim turzaqūn, bihim tunṣarūn.” Rain falls upon you by their Barakah. You reach victory by their means. Rizq (provision) comes by their means.
So Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives all the Rizq, victory or rain with their Barakah, not according to the state of this world. All kinds of goodness comes through them. So they, as we said, are the benefit for humanity, for all humanity. Because when the benefit comes, it is not cut off there or not given there. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives them all just because they are there. May Allah ﷻ make their services be perpetual. May Allah ﷻ be pleased with them. Even though they have passed away to Akhirah, their service become even more. May Allah ﷻ not separate us from their doorstep insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
