Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
YOUNGSTERS ON ALLAH’S ﷻ WAY
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَاهُمْ هُدًى
(Qur’ān 18:13). ‘Innahum Fityatun ‘Āmanū Birabbihim Wa Zidnāhum Hudan’, ‘Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
The most beloved people for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla are the young people with Iman (faith) and Taqwa (piety). They are the beloved people of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, because shaytan is stronger when people are younger. As it is more difficult to capture their egos then, youngsters on the way of Allah ﷻ who fight their egos and defeat them are the most beloved servants of Allah ﷻ.
Elderly people get retired and then start to pray. That is ok. But their virtue doesn’t stand next to that of youngsters. Youngsters who are on the beloved way of Allah ﷻ, people who keep on this way with the love towards Allah ﷻ are the beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. The beloved servant of Allah ﷻ is counted as ‘Awliya. Wali means the beloved servant of Allah ﷻ.
People who walk on this way face difficulties and all kinds of badness of this time. And the worst are the youngsters who’ve gone astray. Because they strive to take those on the way out of it. Whatever the wisdom is, a bad friend is a thousand times worse than shaytan. Shaytan harms once, but he harms a thousand times. May Allah ﷻ protect us. There is a lot of such people in this time.
Therefore, youngsters who walk on the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla are walking on a difficult way. But in return for that difficulty, there will be great virtues, great Thawab and great goodness in Dunya and Akhirah. People who are on the right way, people who walk on the way of Allah ﷻ are in comfort in Dunya as well. But people on the bad way are always at loss. They are at loss here and hereafter.
The way of Allah ﷻ is the way of light. It is a beautiful way. It is the way of goodness. It is beneficial. There are various benefits in it. But for people who’ve gone astray, there are various dangers and all kinds of loss. May Allah ﷻ protect both the old and the young. Youngsters must be more diligent and more cautious about who they are hanging out with. If their friends have something odd, it is best to be cautious and to stay away from them. Whatever that is, don’t look at their pretension. Their pretension is not worth a penny. They harm themselves and will harm you even more. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. May Allah ﷻ give guidance insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
