Do Muslims have power? Mawlana says, Yes! The true and the only power in this world is in the hands of the Muslims. But they are made to forget it, in order to stay under the command of the non-Muslims and subject to their technological progress and weapons. To illustrate the kind of power Muslims have, Mawlana tells the beautiful story of S. Abu-l Hassan el-Basri and S. “Habibu-l ‘Ajami”.

O Men of Allah, save us with Divine help. May Allah bestow His blessings on us. Help us with Allah’s help… Most people are idiots! Bismillahi r-Rahman r-Rahim. First sign of Idiocy is not saying Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Idiots! And so, everything that didn’t start with Bismillah, it is cut from Divine support! Nowadays there are troubles and fighting between people and governments. Not one single president, of any Muslim country, did I hear when he addresses his people say Audhu Billah min al shaytan al rajim – O people seek refuge in Allah from shaytan, and Say Bismi Allahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Because without Bismillah, nothing works – not a religious nor a worldly deed! And people have become heedless, deeply heedless! If they drink liquor after a few hours, they return to their senses! But the heedlessness that people are in nowadays – Astonishing! Their minds are not in their heads! And they persist in trying to benefit from situations without mentioning Allah’s name (jalla wa ‘ala). Allah’s name is enough!
We advise the world from the east to west and north to south – Allahu Akbar – Bismillah is enough! Everything that doesn’t start with Bismillah will be cut from Divine blessing, and it will not succeed! This is a gift from Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) to us to say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim and Allah (jwa) will honor His servant when he mentions Allah’s name (swt), and will not leave him without help, whoever says Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. O my servant, ask and you will be given what you asked! What do you want, say. I will give you! You will be given! Ask and you shall be given! And i never heard from kings or from presidents of today, when they address their people, that they say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. I wonder are they ashamed?! Because of quick addressing, or ignorance? Deliberately or intentionally? This heedlessness is great! With Bismillah, all creation stands up on its feet on all earths and heavens! It is that powerful Bismillah! Astonishing! We don’t need any technology! We don’t need technology! Where are the Muslims? Where are their presidents? Where are their scholars? Upon what is their belief based? Subhan Allah.
Hassan Al Basry, was a famous scholar. In his time there was someone called Habib Al Ajami/the non Arab. He was not Arab, Wali Habib the non Arab. He was at the same period of time as Hassan Al Basri Hz. One of the followers of Sahaba and was an honorable scholar, and had also spiritual states, Hassan Al Basry was sitting at the confluence of the rivers Euphrates and Tigris and suddenly there came to him, Habib alAjami. Hassan Al Basry wasn’t praying, If any person was praying with Habib alAjami, even though he had 7 mistakes in his Quran recitation, he used to pray and say, “O Imam, how are you praying?” “O servants of Allah, being Imam is not who perfects his recitation. No, but who perfects his heart! Allahu Akbar, Masha Allah. Allah looks at your hearts! This is how he was the Habib alAjami
He went to Al Basri while he was sitting by the river. They were waiting for the ferry to cross the river. They were waiting for the ferry to cross the river. Hassan Al Basri was waiting and, Habib alAjami came to him and said, “Assalam aleikum, O Imam, what are you waiting for?” “O Habib alAjami, I am waiting for the ferry and will board it in order to cross to the other side of the river.” “You are an Imam and you say this? Don’t you have the power of saying Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim? If you have it why don’t you just cross (the river).” As he said this, Habib al Ajami walked away over the river. (on the water)
With Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim there is an incredible miraculous power. It is among the greatest grants from The Lord. Who has this secret may say to something “Be and it is.” What do we need technology for? There is no need. Let the westeners be busy, tire themselves, and die for nothing, inventions. We do not need this. We have a grant from Allah (swt) to say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.. say to something Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim and it happens. You say and “it is”. “Be and it is”. People forgot.. they forgot all the power to organize the world, for the majority of the Muslim world, the sword of Allah (swt) – Bismillahi r-Rahmani Rahim. O believers! You have knowledge but you do not possess certainty. You know but you do not have certainty. Hassan Al Basri had knowledge, but certainty, was with Habib alAjami. He said Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim and walked (on water). He walked on what do you call it… on the river as if it was an asphalt road.
And now the ummah forgot, they forgot to say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. The support is always there, for Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. All matters will be in order with Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. We do not need anything else. O our Lord You know best… teach us. But we are not fit to learn – we are like dry wood. Let them run after democracy. I spit on your democracy! Shame on them, shame on them… 70 times shame! They leave the power of Islam, the magnificence of Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim and run after, to regulate their matters, things that have no value to them, or the constitution. The constitution has no value. Bismillahi ar-Rahman ar-Rahim is the constitution of Islam. Say it and walk!
Wa min Allah Al Tawfiq. O my Lord teach us… One Saint can teach, but people don’t listen. Astaghfirullah…. Fatiha. This is an important point. My Arabic is very little…. People do not understand. Insha’Allah we may understand…. That the people will get to understand …Aman Ya Rabbi, Aman Ya Rabbi… Tawba Ya Rabbi, tawba Ya Rabbi, tawba astaghfirullah… Tawba Ya Rabbi, tawba Ya Rabbi, tawba astaghfirullah… Tawba for everyone Ya Rabbi, tawba Ya Rabbi.. O Lord send one who can teach us the reality of Islam, the true method of Islam, the steps of Islam, the honour of Islam, the power of Islam and the Glory of Islam. Fatiha.
