The Last Days

In this beautiful ṣuḥbah Mawlānā warns that the only thing that can protect us in the terrible days ahead is a strong faith. When you are in need, call on the Awliyā’, the Owners of faith, in the name of any of the prophets, and they will have to respond to you.

The Last Days

Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi (Qs),

Sohbat from 1998

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. We have said some words here for English people, for German people. Actually these words must be said in all languages.

Since from the very first day that mankind had been on this world, we, among all people who have lived, are the ones who have reached the most dangerous and fearful days. Besides this, this fear is mild, compared to the fear for the coming days, it is like nothing. Because in the future, there will be terrible events where people in those terrible wars are either shot down dead or can’t carry the burden of those days. They will be oppressed/depressed – that is spiritually down. When one is spiritually down his being can’t carry him more. When spirits are alive/enlivened a man’s being is fresh, is active. When spirit loses strength, when it is down, no matter how strong the body is it won’t endure. Both to be able to carry the heaviness of these days that we are living in and to be able to carry the burden of the coming terrible events, one should have a real, strong spiritual life. One whose spirituality is not supported or strengthened, is worn down under these circumstances, and will not be able to carry the heavy burdens of the coming days.

“They look like the cardboard castles”, I say. How long can a cardboard castle endure? It doesn’t endure anything, it can’t protect people. People will only be protected by a strong castle, to take refuge in. That (castle) is their belief. Whose beliefs are imitated, they will not endure the big storms of the coming days, will be blown away. The circumstances of today oppress them but the coming terrible events will grind down them to pieces. Therefore a strong faith is the first essential element to keep people firmly on their feet in those circumstances. A strong faith is the only power, which will enable people to stand firmly in front of the up-coming terrible events. Without a strong faith one can neither endure the circumstances of today nor carry the terrible events of the coming days. Without it they will be destroyed.

If one is not killed, not shot down by many kinds of weapons, then the heaviness of events will crush them, they will not be able to put up with or carry it. The number of people who will die, without being shot but because of heaviness they can’t carry, will be in the millions. If there are some who aren’t dead, they will certainly go crazy. Millions of people will lose their minds, will go crazy, will go mad. Coming events are so heavy, so scary, these are the events ahead. Only thing that can help people, is a strong faith/belief. Nothing else! Nothing else can help. As I said, if one is not shot, the up-coming violent events on mankind will either kill them or deal them a mortal blow; their hearts will tear apart from fear or they will go crazy. Nothing else can help.

The events of today are very simple compared to the future events. Even now there are many men going crazy. The events of today are nothing. Compared to the events of up-coming days, the events of today are like honey sweets. Honey sweets. What it is to be depressed! Huuu ya Latif. We take refuge in Allah, we take refuge in Allah. About this I spoke a few words in English. You must hear these also.

Mawlana Shaykh Quotes

In those days only a strong faith can favour you. How can you gain a strong faith? You can’t gain a strong faith by reading books. Perhaps you can get strong faith from awliya who are the owners of strong faith, which they can transmit from heart to heart. Our Prophet alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam, raised his companions from the lowest level of ignorance, to the highest level of faith. He won them all by the way of heart. Now in these times there are inheritors of the Prophet. Never are the awliya, who are inheritors of the Prophet, absent. Though you don’t know them. You may not recognize them but if you ask to find them, there is permission to call them.

If you know someone, call him as your heart says. If not, say: “O friends of Allah, friends of Haqq, help us!” Whichever troubled place or fearful and troubled situation you fall into, call them. “For the sake of the Prophet, O the friend of Al-Haqq, reach out for me.” As you say he has to help you. I told Christians to say – “For the sake of Prophet Isa/Jesus”; the nation of Moses – “For the sake of Musa alaihi s-salam, reach out for us.” They should say. They may say: “Help for the sake of Ibrahim alaihi s-salam.” “For the sake of Ahlu Bayt of Rasullah” – one can ask help for their sake. If one doesn’t know to say – “For the sake of Our Prophet” but he calls for the sake of all other prophets, awliya are ordered to help him anyway.

G: From now till the coming troubled days?

For anytime, from now on, they may call. No harm! Awliya are ordered to reach out for them to help. Now that the time is very close, we are made to say such matters. The war is very close. Severe events are very close. Thus the Awliya are prevailing on hearts. Awliya are ones who can see the hearts. They help the one who calls to them from the heart. If one calls them only with their tongue, still he will reach them. If people were not too afraid, they would appear to the ones who called them. But they don’t show themselves so as not to frighten people. One can feel their presence, if he is capable to accept their coming. He feels their coming in front of him.

The way for strong faith is opened by meeting the Awliya who are owners of strong faith.

So this is an important issue. Pay attention to this! The way for strong faith is opened by meeting the Awliya who are owners of strong faith. If you don’t know them, yet call for one of them in general. Say: “Reach out for me O friend of Allah!” Say: “Help me for the sake of the Prophet alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam.” Then your difficult situation will be eased. Your fears will disappear, your faith will be strengthened, your action corrected.
