Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi (Qs), Sohbat of the 9th of July, 2013, Lefke, Cyprus
Thanks to our Mawla Who granted us to reach this Ramadan Sharif. May Ramadan Sharif be mubarak. Welcome O yaran of Shah Mardan. You are his Yaran, his Ahbab. O Man, be Ahbab/friends of Man. Be Ahbab. Madad Ya RijalAllah. Shukur liLlah. Ashrafu shuhur, the most honoured of the months- Ramadan Sharif has honoured us. Even if we are weak ones, that weakness of ours will leave us. Today is the first day of Ramadan Sharif. Let us listen to Shah Mardan. O Lion of Allah! It has been an honour for us to reach this holy Ramadan with Shah Mardan – a great honour. It is a great honour. When Rabbu-l Izzat grants honour, He (swt) doesn’t give dishonour instead of it. When Allah Almighty grants honour, He (swt) doesn’t give dishonour. Pay attention! O yaran, O yaran of the Shah- Shah Mardan. How beautifully he is speaking. No one can disgrace a person to whom Allah granted honour. Hasha!
Go ahead O Shah Mardan. May our Ramadan be mubarak. It is a privileged month – “Shahru Ramadan alladhi unzila fihil Qur’anu” (2:185). Allahu Akbar! A privileged month – “Shahru Ramadan alladhi unzila fihi l-Qur’anu” says Allah Almighty. Aman Ya Rabbi! Let us hear it from the tongue of Shah Mardan. Shah Mardan. O believers! May it be a joy for you, an honour for you that the Quran Azimu sh-Shan, which enlightened the whole creation, was sent down in this month of Ramadan Sharif. What a great honour it is for those who accept it. May it be mubarak for us all. Let us say together with Shah Mardan – Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Say and don’t fear. The whole creation shakes with this. When Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim is recited, the creation trembles. Aman Ya Rabbi. What a great honour.
Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your Ahbab & Yaran are listening to you. We should not get tired. The important point is that we should not get tired. We should not be fed up with servanthood. Say “I am a servant to Allah” “What do you do?” “My work is performing service for my Lord”. “What else do you do for work?” “I don’t work. My job is to be a servant for Who created me”. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. How beautifully did you say it. Yes. “Addabani Rabbi fa ‘ahsana tadibi. My Lord taught me adab & dressed on me the rank of the highest adab” says the Rasulu l- Kibriya (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam). O our Lord, Your servants are not weak. Your servants are powerful, they have adab. Aman Ya Rabbi. Shukur to our Mawla Who accepted us for His servanthood. May our Ramadan be mubarak.
The gathering of the first day of Ramadan Sharif is this sohbat of ours. Tariqatuna as-sohba; our way is through sohbat. Our way is being Ahbab, our way is love, respect, salamat/safety. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. We are all your slaves, O Shah Mardan. They (your yaran) are waiting for your beautiful words. A reinforcing power also comes with the sohbat, Shaikh Mehmet Effendi. If they give you a car but no gas, that car has no value. So Shah Mardan is making a statement now. And when they make a statement, the words they speak are golden words – they are diamonds, they are precious jewels. He gives us a power as well as an honour to protect them. Then look for him. Who should we look for? Look for the jeweler. Look for the one who sells jewels. Don’t look for the one selling garbage. Why should you go after a garbage man? AlhamduLillah. AlhamduLillahi wa kafa RahimaLlahu man da’a.
I am gaining majesty. With what? By saying Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim I am becoming majestic. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi l-Hamd. There can’t be anyone who who remembers the Ism Al-Jalal (Majestic Name) of Allah Almighty and still says “I am weak”. O Shah Mardan, go ahead and say it. I am weak. I only desire to perform a good service for my Mawla. We don’t want anything else. What should you ask for? A house? Land? A hill? Rocks? A palace? What should you ask for? Leave these. We want the pleasure of Rabbu-l Ta’ala and Taqaddas Hz. Our joy is with this. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. He says “Run to reach the Rida/Pleasure of the Sultan”. “Don’t say I am weak,” he says. Don’t say I am weak. There can’t be a weak servant in the Presence of that Sultan. “I dress him with the dress of power and majesty, that this world shakes from his majesty”. The world shakes from the majesty of the holy ones who accept Allah’s servanthood.
Ad-Dunya ad-daniyya, it is worthless. Don’t ask for it. O our Lord- our Subhan, our Sultan. For the honour of Your Habib-ul Kibriya (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) Ya Rabbi, You granted us this holy month of Ramadan. May we perform Your servanthood. Even if we have weakness, our intention is to keep Your Order, O our Lord. Go ahead O Shah Mardan, let us start. Let us start our word, our sohbat. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Unless the Bismillah is recited, the sohbat has no value. Everywhere (say) Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim! It makes the world tremble! Why do you fear from the unbelievers? Why do you fear from shaytan? When Janabu-l Izzat dresses you with the dress of azamat, with the dress of majesty, with the dress of faith, with the dress of iftikhar, with the dress of jaladat/courage, they will fear from you! They tell me “Don’t say I am weak” but what can we do O son? We are weak.
Go ahead O Shah Mardan, O Lion. We want to keep your way. Your way is the way leading to the Sultan, this is what we seek. “I may cook eggplant”. “No, I may cook fish”. I say “Leave all this”. Is it the time to ask for an eggplant dish? Couldn’t you find anything else to ask for? Eggplant dish and fish… Kabab, kofta (meatballs)… Why do you ask for kabab, kofta? What is there for you in kabab and kofta? What does kabab, kofta have? There are people who eat tons of bread, kabab, food, fattoush and in the end they leave a soulless body in the middle and go. For many who are slaves of eating & drinking, who are servants of their desires, a day comes and they are wrapped in a shroud and left inside the grave. Here, this is it. Come to your senses O Children of Adam!
This is Ramadan Sharif. “Shahru Ramadana lladhi ‘Unzila Fihi l-Qur’anu Hudaan “Lin-Nasi Wa Bayyinatin Mina l-Huda Wa l-Furqani”(2:185). This month is a month of azamat. Show respect for it. “We respect it”. “Ok, and what do you do?” “We put candles on the minarets”. Allah! What kind of respect is this? Then? “Then what do we do? We make iftar feasts”. It isn’t the Man but it is the animal which brings him to feast on it. They say “iftar feasts”. What is an iftar feast? Here, 3 spoons of soup, 5 spoons of this and that. It is all about this. Do you feed your spirituality? Can you make it grow stronger? “Well, what can we do? We made mahya (lights) on the minarets too”. But the mahya you made is the mahya that is not accepted because you had it written there in the letters of the unbelievers. You couldn’t say “Marhaba O Shahru Ramadan mubarak”. They removed it. But when you removed it, they also took away your honour.
O Children of Adam, you should know the honour granted you. It is not with making mahya. You don’t have any man in your mosques to speak- there is no one who will make you glorify your Lord and keep His Order. What is it? They say “We made mahya”. Mahya! O Shah Mardan, go ahead. You may do it but are you able to awaken what is inside you? You are Subhan, you are Sultan. O glorious Prophet! He (sas) also has the quality of being Subhan, he is Subhan! The Prophet (sas) is also dressed with the Subhan attribute. The Prophet (sas) had azamat. If he looked like this, he could destroy. Let alone the Prophet, alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam, Shah Mardan would destroy if he looked. The Mount of Uhud shook under his glance. Look at the power. Look at the honour granted to Man. The Mount of Uhud shook! The Prophet, alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam, said “There is a Prophet, a siddiq, a wali on you – Stay firm where you are!” & the huge Mount of Uhud stayed firm in its place.
Islam came with azamat. Janabu l-Rabbu-l Izzat dressed the azamat on Islam – Raghman ‘ala anfun. May they be dragged by their noses (be humiliated), that these treacherous unbelievers don’t accept it. Who are you to not accept it? Islam, aslim taslam. Is it not like this? Accept Islam and be safe. Or else this world will collapse on you. The dunya, that you run after, will collapse on your heads. Why? Aslim taslam. You didn’t accept Islam, how can you find safety? This is an address for the whole world. Safety is in Islam. You went out of Islam and thousands of troubles came on you. Aman Ya Rabbi. May Allah Almighty not make us fall into that trouble. Say: “La ilaha illa Anta Subhanak, Subhanak”. You are Subhan O our Lord. Dakhilak. We seek refuge in you O glorious Prophet!
“Well, we did mahya”. And after that, they made the children play games in the mosques. Shame on them. They hang pictures on the walls. They took down the honourable writing of Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim from their parliament and immediately their honour also became zero. A fire here, a fire there…Everywhere is on fire. Shaikh Mehmet Effendi Hz, no fire starts where there is a Bismillah sign. There can’t be a fire in a place where the Bismillah is written, because if fire burns the Bismillah, angels make the fire upside down. Fire cannot attack a place where there is the Bismillah sign. Now there are always fires in Turkey, in Kurdistan. Why? Because they took down the Bismillah. Al Azamatu Lillah. May our Ramadan be mubarak. May a spiritual power come on us. There is no respect for the zahiri/outer power. For the spiritual power put the Bismillah. If fire burns the Bismillah angels make the fire upside down. Put the Bismillah. They took it down and put a portrait. It is possible that one day everyone in it (the parliament) burns together with that portrait.
It is said “Adab Ya Hu!”. Learn adab, learn the adab towards your Lord. When you take down the Bismillahir- Rahmanir-Rahim which is His Ism Al-Jalil and put a portrait in its place, you won’t find any good. O Turk, O Kurd, O Iranian and O Arab! Take down the portraits! O Shah Mardan, who is the possessor of Azamat. We can’t describe the azamat as it goes up. Hasha! We say (what we hear) from Shah Mardan. Leave the portraits, leave the statues or you will suffer. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. How beautiful, what a beautiful shelter. Do they speak about Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim in the mosques? They don’t. Do they speak about the portrait? They do. For this, they don’t find any goodness. O Janabul Mawla for Whose Azamat & Qudrat there is no end! We can’t reach up there, we speak through Shah Mardan. Shah Mardan says “If I spur my horse, if I spur it once I can go from the East to the West” he says. He is Shah Mardan. Shah Mardan- the Lion of the Prophet (sas). “If I spurred once the mount I ride, I reach from the east of dunya to its west” he says.
O our Mawla Who is the Possessor of Azamat and Kibriya! You made the honour of Your Habib above everything else O our Mawla. Love, respect and keep the way of His Habib (sas). You can’t do this by giving iftar feasts. The iftar feasts are to satisfy their dull egos. It is for their names to be mentioned but it gives them no benefit. “Wa ‘anfiqu fi sabiliLlah”(2:195). Give to the poor, who they can’t even find a piece of bread. Look after them. Don’t do show off. Showing off is not allowed in Islam. O our Mawla Who is the Possessor of Azamat. The creation cannot carry the dress of azamat You dressed on Your Habib. The creation collapses. “O glorious Prophet!” Say it everywhere: “As-Salatu s-Salam be upon you. May we be sacrificed in your way O glorious Prophet, that Allah granted you this honour”. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi l-Hamd.
Listen O Believer! Open your eyes. Take care for yourself before a torment falls on your head from Heavens. Keep your servanthood, keep your adab. Put down the portrait and put Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, and you are in safety. If not, you are trash. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are your admirers. Ah! If we were from whom holy Shah Mardan accepts we would keep the adab. O our Lord, our soul is in Your Hand of Power, we can’t do anything. May You send us from Your lions O Mawla. You can’t carry the Lion. There is Shah Mardan, with his majestic voice, his one cry can shake the world and divide it into two. Straighten your belief for Islam. It doesn’t work with giving iftar feasts. It doesn’t work with making mahya. Your level goes up by glorifying Allah, showing respect for His Prophet & respecting Shah Mardan.
Mubarak Shahru Ramadan, alladhi ‘unzila fihi l-Qur’an. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar. Read it from the beginning of Ramadan till its end. Say it, say it, say it and a ma’idah/table from the Heavens will come down for you. The iftar feasts of people here are zero compared to it. He sends down a ma’idah from Heavens. What did the disciples of the great Prophet Jesus say? They said to the great Prophet Jesus “Can your Lord send down for us a table from Heavens?” Is there a restaurant in Heaven? What kind of mentality was theirs? Their minds were still busy with it- their minds were busy with the ma’idah. “Let us eat” they said. “Let us eat. May a table from Heavens come down”. To whom do the tables on earth belong? Are they yours? Did they too not come down from Heavens? They can’t understand. These are the Christians, their belief is like that. They can’t think of anything. The great disciples say “Can He send down…?” What is this? Is there a restaurant upstairs? A person who sits at a restaurant looks at the paper in his hand (menu) & says “bring me this and this and this…” They bring those as soon as he orders. But Heaven is not a restaurant! It is Oceans of Power. How can you ask such a thing? How can you say “Can He send down?” Aman Ya Rabbi, tawba Ya Rabbi.
Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Draw your Dhul Fiqar. These people turned into wild animals that kill men and eat their flesh. “You will defeat all of them!”. There is such an order now for Shah Mardan. There is an order now. Whoever killed men – Man who is the honoured creation – whoever killed them they will kill him seven times at least. They should be decent- the Christian world as well as our foolish people who follow them. O Ghani Sultan, O Qawiyy Sultan. Here, He makes this to be said by sending Shah Mardan. May our bodies be filled with iman, not with eating & drinking. Aman Ya Rabbi. You made us reach this holy month. May You also send us the servants who will teach us this. May You send the Sultans who will Master us. We are left in the hands of trashy people. Send them away from us O Lord. Send us a Sultan who will raise the flag of Islam. Fatiha.
They say “Let us look what there is in this tent tonight”. They run from one tent (iftar feast) to another, asking – “is there anything better to eat here?” “No, it is the same as what we have at home. Let us run to that big tent”. All of them have big bellies, they run and their bellies shake. This is not Islam. This is not the meaning of fasting. Fasting is to discourage your dirty ego, to tie it to its Lord’s servanthood. O our Lord, may this news arrive from Shah Mardan who teaches us and may we learn the requirements of Islam and iman, and fulfill them – which is performing servanthood for Allah.
Ya Allah! You are Subhan, You are Sultan. The Companions would make iftar with two dates and the Prophet, alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam, with one date. These people are regulars of eating and drinking. “What will we eat? What will we drink?” Ya Rabbi, send us the Shah Mardan or his like, who will present us with the spiritual ma’idah /tables. Let us write on our doors: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. May its blessings not decrease. May afflictions and troubles be far away. May religion and faith come. May the majesty, the majesty of Islam come. May the flags of Islam unfurl. For the honour of the Habib (sas), may we be sent the Sultan again. May we receive again the Bismillah signs on which His Ism Al-Jalil is written. May we look like Man. May we become believers.
Fatiha.
Read for me Hj Mehmet. Allah bless you. May you be a lion. May you be a lion. Allah bless you. Allah bless you. May your outer and inner power increase.
