In a sohbat that looks back at history and is charged with political dismay, Mawlana shows the irony of modern man. In his refusal to use Bismillah, man is like “The Arrogant Little Ant” trying to tease Sayyidina Sulayman (alayhi s-salam).
May He send us a Sultan who will straighten us. May a glorious Sultan come to us who will make His orders to be kept. We are waiting for this.

H.F: Marhaba.
M: Marhaba, marhaba. Ya marhaba, Ya marhaban bikum. Marhaba- it is the greeting of the angels to the inhabitants of paradise, they say marhaba. Allahu Akbar! You granted the believers “marhaba”. It is the sign of believers. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim is the sign of Islam. Any action without Bismillah is cut off.
There is a Hadith Sharif, There is a Hadith Sharif about this which says “Any act that does not begin with Bismillah is cut off”. Meaning, a tree that is cut off from its root or a rose that is cut off from its mother & placed in water can survive for some time & after that it falls off. If it is not cut off the rose continues to grow but this also for a limited time but after it is cut off, only 1 or 2 days. “Kullu amrin lam yabda’a bi Bismillah, fa huwa abtar”. Is the Hadith like this?
S.M. Yes.
M. How beautiful, how beautiful. Any action without Bismillah is abtar- unproductive, fruitless. Fruitless is what has nothing. “May we remember the Name of Allah first”. Sulaiman Chalabi is teaching, how beautiful. “May we remember the name of Allah first”. That is why I want Mawlid al-Sharif to be recited in every assembly. It strengthens our faith. Its beginning is beautiful. The holy ones teach this- the first thing to be taught is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. They would start with Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim first, would teach it first. Then, “Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, Rabbi Yassir wa la tu’assir. Rabbi tammim bil khair”. How beautiful, what a beautiful teaching. The ones now are not teaching, they are all filthy. And they don’t call it now “ta’lim” either, they say “education”. Hey even if they are given all the graters in the world these men’s heads (are so hard they) wouldn’t be grated.
They call “education”, what education yahu? “Kullu amrin lam yabda’a bi Bismillah, fa-huwa abtar”. Allahu Akbar, what a beautiful Hadith. Every act that did not start with Bismillah it is cut off, it is fruitless, it has no result. So now the situation of today’s people is this. Shaytan made it all messed up. All his effort & way of revenge is to make people forget Bismillah.
When a nation forgets Bismillah, it means they became zero. If the president of a country can’t come out & say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim on the podium, if they say “it is banned”, can they ever find goodness O son? What kind of talking is this? Let our prime minister come up & say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. All those elected men in the parliament will shout “What is this, is it a mosque here? Here is not a mosque but it is our parliament”. Allah Allah.. No act without Bismillah can succeed. And here it is, they couldn’t succeed in 100 years. They went 100 years back, did not go forward. The Ottomans would mount the horse with Bismillah, like lions. And they would spur it on with Bismillah. Basmala al-Shariff. Its barakah is lost & the people are finished. They became zero, have no value. We have no value in the presence of Allah Almighty.
May Allah not make us from them. Therefore everywhere Bismillahir-Rahmani r-Rahim. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. They say “It is banned. You can’t say Bismillah”. Who put this ban? Who banned it? But they don’t ban the making of statues. They allow statues which are banned in Islam but don’t allow Allah’s order. Masha Allah! Masha Allah, what a nice system you have. “Shaykh Effendi, they call this democracy. We removed it because we are a democracy”. May Allah remove you. And Allah Dhul Jalal will remove you because you don’t say Bismillah. A nation who has no respect for His Greatness & Glory can find no goodness. And they haven’t for 100 years. They are in a blind fight. They turned into a herd which doesn’t know what it wants or what it wants to do. There earthquake, here flood, there landslide, here fire.. they are being crushed by many kinds of disasters. They don’t say “Tawba Ya Rabbi”.
They have a huge portrait in the parliament, they respect that portrait but don’t put Bismillah in respect to Allah Almighty. Shame on them! Their lives are in-between 3 & 5 now- I don’t know. Maybe 3 months-5months, or 3 to 5 years. I can’t say this. But it won’t be a year, won’t be a year. Who forgets Allah.. “Nasu Al-Laha Fanasiyahum” (9:67) They have forgotten Allah & Allah has left them- “Suffer what comes on you. You left Me & kept shaytan. And shaytan brought you into this. Shame on you. May you get no blessings from what you eat & drink. May you get no blessings from your lives, may you find no taste. May you never be loved in your lives. May you not be finished with worries & troubles in your lives. May the troubles & sorrows that come down on you increase day by day”. Angels call from above like this. May Allah forgive us. Tubna wa raja’na ilayk Ya Rabbi. Tawba Ya Rabbi, Tawba Ya Rabbi. May who makes us forget this be away from us & may we be away from them too. Your Mercies..”Narju Rahmataka wa nakhsha adhabaka”. We hope for Your Mercy & fear Your punishment. What are we? Aman Ya Rabbi. But we have a lot of nerve, a lot of nerve… Allah Allah.
Prophet Sulaiman, ‘ala-l Nabiyyi alayhi salatu was-salam, he knew, could understand the language of the animals. When he was passing through a place, an ant, a small ant said “This son of Adam, I want to hold him & hit him on the ground upside down!” Prophet Sulaiman looked, it is one small ant- the one who says this is a small ant. He asked: “Why did you say this?” “O Prophet of Allah, please pardon me. “My wife was with me, I said it to show some masculinity” it says. How he wants to show masculinity for his wife. Prophet Sulaiman laughed. And now the people of today are even worse than ants- “We are this, we are that, we can do this, we can do that..” And I say “your dirt is running down between your legs”. This is the masculinity we show.
They corrupted the whole country- didn’t allow the Name of Allah, didn’t allow the name of Islam. Why the name of “Islam” is not present? They say “Diyanet/Religious Affairs”. What is diyanet, what does it mean? “President of Diyanet”, what is diyanet? What is its meaning? Is the name “Islam” too heavy for you? 500 of you sit & decide in the parliament. Why don’t you say “this country is a Muslim country?” “Have we become unbelievers?” “Hasha” Why do you not say? “Diyanet”. Say “Mashihat ul-Islam/ Shaykhul Islam office”! They don’t say. If they don’t say, then your value will go down, down, down & you will become zero. Aman Ya Rabbi, Tawba Ya Rabbi.
They get offended when you say these words. He may be offended, may he never find joy in his life- he who is offended by these words and may his life be short. Tawba Ya Rabbi. May Allah forgive us. May Allah send us the Master who will take us to His right path. I looked, it says college. Astonishing. They made it college, college of ilahiyyat/theology. What kind of a word is this? Is there anything called Ilahiyyat in Islam? No. And then, there is college. Are you ashamed to say madrasa? We call it madrasa for 1000 years. Now you turned madrasa into college. What will come out from the college? It will look nice to Europeans. “Graduated from Ilahiyyat College”. They call him “Ilahiyatchi”. They didn’t like the name ‘alim, scholar. “Ilahiyyatchi, meaning ilahi/qasida. Ilahi..” “What ilahi Yahu? Did you want a qasida singer?” “No Shaykh Effendi, we are ilahiyyatchi” “Ok then, recite a qasida for us”. He got surprised. “Since you are ilahiyyatchi, recite a qasida”. “He is not from the mawlid reciters”. “Then what is your title? You are ilahiyyatchi. When you say ilahi, in our language they sing ilahi, meaning they sing qasidas”.
May Allah send us a Master. May He send us a Sultan who will straighten us. May a glorious Sultan come to us who will make His orders to be kept. We are waiting for this. “Ati qulli dhi haqqin haqqa” “Give everyone their due rights” says Allah Almighty. Tawba Ya Rabbi.. Aman Ya Rabbi, may You forgive us. Forgive us. Don’t be offended with me. If you do, the grave waits for you after 40 days. I am not an easy man! I am smaller than an ant but certain matters that I speak are terrifying. Don’t blame me. Don’t dislike this word. Or else you are in the graveyard also in 40 days. We say this too, they made me say it. May Allah forgive me & forgive them also. Fatiha.
Read for me S. Mehmet Effendi. Is this Ok? They can object if they like. He can send them after 40 years. Mehmed Effendi has the power, I leave it to him. He is a dragon. If a person offends him, he can’t live more than 40 days. We seek refuge in Allah.
