Today is a day of two celebrations, Jumโah and the opening of the Ayasofya for prayer after 86 years. Sultan Mehmet Fatih bought the broken empty church and gave it as waqf to be a mosque until Qiyฤmah. His curse is on those who prevented it. The whole Muslim world rejoices at the opening.

As-Salฤmu โalaykum wa-raแธฅmatu Llฤhi wa-barakฤtuh.
Aโลซdhu bi-Llฤhi mina sh-shayแนญฤni r-rajฤซm. Bismi Llฤhi r-Raแธฅmฤni r-Raแธฅฤซm. Aแนฃ-แนฃalฤtu wa-s-Salฤmu โalรก Rasลซlinฤ Muแธฅammadin Sayyidi l-awwalฤซna wa-l-ฤkhirฤซn. Madad yฤ Rasลซla Llฤh, madad yฤ Sฤdฤtฤซ Aแนฃแธฅฤbi Rasลซli Llฤh, madad yฤ Mashฤyikhanฤ, dastลซr Mawlฤnฤ Shaykh โAbdu Llฤh al-Fฤโiz ad-Dฤghistฤnฤซ, Shaykh Muแธฅammad Nฤแบim al-แธคaqqฤnฤซ. Madad. แนฌarฤซqatuna แนฃ-แนฃuแธฅbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jamโiyyah.
We are living in blessed days, shukr Allฤh ๏ทป. And today is the day of Jumโah, a festival, bayram. There are two festivals next week, Jumโah and โฤชdu l-Aแธแธฅรก. Today as well, shukr Allฤh ๏ทป, we have two festivals. What is the second festival? The will of the Sulแนญฤn, who is praised in Islฤm and by our Prophet ๏ทบ, returned to its place now. Because his will was ignored… He bought the mosque with his own money and his property that he paid to the People of the Book, when he could have just taken it by conquest. But he could foresee, and by the light of his faith, Allฤh โAzza wa-Jalla showed him the future. He made it his own property and turned it into a waqf, a charitable donation. He made it waqf until Qiyฤmah.
And for nearly ninety years now, that will has been ignored and all kinds of people were allowed to enter it โ the only thing not allowed were prayers. That is why we are saying, there was a curse of the Sulแนญฤn on it and, in shฤโa Llฤh, that curse has been lifted from us. It will be a means to goodness. This is the way it is. Not just for the entire mosque, but even there is a curse for one stone of it [being misused] and it turns out bad for people. That’s why, shukr Allฤh ๏ทป, a huge mosque is open now. Today is a festival, a festival for all the Islฤmic world, not just in Turkey or Istanbul. Muslims all over the world have a happy day today, a festival. We have a festival a week before the โฤชd. Two holidays โ both Jumโah and the opening of the mosque for praying.
As we said, more important than the opening of the mosque for praying, is the will of the Sulแนญฤn. The Sulแนญฤn is also Allฤh’s ๏ทป servant. But whether he is Sulแนญฤn or someone else, he made it a waqf, a will, a bequest. So it has to be as it was endowed until Qiyฤmah. They are not doing this. Most waqfs are used for useless purposes and some for wrong things. According to the intention of the person, Allฤh ๏ทป rewards him until Qiyฤmah. But those who misuse it will be punished. They should not think they will benefit. They are just drowning in troubles. They won’t know how to rescue themselves and will wonder how they ended up like that. You have profited in a แธฅarฤm way, profiting from a waqf. That is a difficult matter, not an easy one.
Therefore, may Allฤh ๏ทป be pleased with our ancestors, they left waqfs everywhere around. Those waqfs are like the works of Islฤm everywhere. Therefore, what the unbelievers did first was to destroy the cemeteries of Muslims, getting rid of them so that they cannot be seen. Unfortunately, our people were not different from them. We are living with real unbelievers in Cyprus. They ask, “Where did you come from?” “There are thousands of graves of our ancestors and martyrs.” “Well, where are they?” “We destroyed them.” “You destroyed them, so they must not have existed. You must be lying. You were an unbeliever like us. They made you Muslim by force. You don’t have ancestors,” they claim. Shukr Allฤh ๏ทป, we are saved from this treachery.
In shฤโa Llฤh, from now on may Allฤh ๏ทป forgive us and may we be more careful, in shฤโa Llฤh. Because what they [our ancestors] did is barakah for us, barakah until Qiyฤmah. They worried what unbelievers would say when they opened the mosque. It was already a mosque with four minarets for several hundred years. It was bought and made into a mosque. You talk like an unbeliever when you question this. May Allฤh ๏ทป protect us; your end will be like theirs. Therefore, where does this barakah come from? It comes from these waqfs, from helping and protecting them. Allฤh ๏ทป gives barakah for it. He ๏ทป protects us.
There is a big trouble all over the world now. They don’t know what to do about it. With Allฤh’s ๏ทป permission, a curse of our Sulแนญฤn is taken off us. In shฤโa Llฤh there will be goodness for Islฤm. May the curse go to the enemies of Islฤm. Because they are not using their minds. You should say, may Allฤh ๏ทป protect everyone but we cannot tolerate Allฤh’s ๏ทป enemies. Because they are coming against Allฤh ๏ทป, they start a war against Allฤh ๏ทป. They want people to enter in shoes and not pray there, not say Allฤh’s ๏ทป name there. Allฤh ๏ทป has given their punishment. We won’t interfere. We ask that Allฤh ๏ทป lift this trouble from all of us. And may He ๏ทป give it to those who deserve it, not to those who respect Islฤm, obey, and love Allฤh ๏ทป. May it go to those who swear at Allฤh ๏ทป, who don’t obey and ignore Allฤh ๏ทป. Allฤh ๏ทป knows. Allฤh ๏ทป is powerful over everything. He ๏ทป knows whom to hit. May Allฤh ๏ทป protect us, in shฤโa Llฤh.
According to the intention of the person, Allฤh ๏ทป rewards him until Qiyฤmah.
Al-แธฅamdu liLlฤh we are today in this ten days of Dhลซ l-แธคijjah, holy blessed days. Today Friday, it is feast of Muslims. Allฤh ๏ทป give Friday. Next Friday two feasts, one Jumโah, one โฤชdu l-Aแธแธฅรก. Al-แธฅamdu liLlฤh, I say today also we have two feasts, Jumโah and feast of happiness for whole Muslim world. Not only in Turkey, in Istanbul, whole Muslim world they are celebrating, they are happy with this feast for Jumโah and opening this holy mosque after 86 years forbidden to pray, to say “Allฤh” ๏ทป in this mosque, which it is bought by Sulแนญฤn, Conqueror Muแธฅammad al-Fฤtiแธฅ.
When he conquered Istanbul, this mosque it was in terrible condition. Crusaders they were destroying, because they was Catholic, and Istanbul people they was Orthodox and they was fighting together. And the Catholic was oppressing Orthodox and destroying all this. Before mosque, it was church but hundred year they no, nobody was using. By [him]self Sulแนญฤn Muแธฅammad Fฤtiแธฅ saying this, he can take it without giving anything. Because he is conqueror he can take anything he wants. But from his wisdom and mercy, he give, he ask for this monks of Orthodox to sell this. And they was happy to sell and there is document for what he is buying. And he buy and restore and make it mosque. It was charity, and charity for, until Qiyฤmah. He was saying and explaining, cursing anybody using this mosque for anything else except mosque… And to change anything to… He was making big will. He was cursing if anything, any small thing changing.
So this people from pressure from Europe, because there was Ottoman finish, they are pressured from Europe and this non-believer world โ they close it. But they cannot close, they change it to museum. And since that time, curse of Sulแนญฤn Muแธฅammad Fฤtiแธฅ was coming on this country and this people. If you are doing or not doing โ but it will be not good for people. So, al-แธฅamdu liLlฤh, today Allฤh ๏ทป make naแนฃฤซb for this president and to open this. It is not joke, not small thing to do this. Many president, many prime minister they was saying, “We will open.” After you see โ no. Because it is, they afraid, because whole dark power in the world against this, against Islam. And this is also for, it is like challenge for non-believer.
So al-แธฅamdu liLlฤh, today we are happy, whole Islฤm world happy with this occasion, opening, and this cursing, in shฤโa Llฤh, will be away from us. And we need to avoid cursing, especially in these days which it is whole world they don’t know what to do. They have big problem and, from very small enemy Allฤh ๏ทป sent for them, they destroy whole system, whole world, everything in this world. And it is very small. So, you must be, avoid to do thing against Allฤh ๏ทป. To give everything right for everything. Because charity it is very important. This is Sulแนญฤn but there is thousand of thing, charity, they take, they destroy. And people they thought, “When we take this, we are… Oh this waqf, charity property, you can use. Nobody looking. You can take, nobody asking.” But Allฤh โAzza wa-Jalla He ๏ทป is seeing and He ๏ทป is asking and punishing.
So we are in this time, we hope Allฤh ๏ทป take this punishment from Islฤm world, and punishing who is against Him ๏ทป, fighting against Allฤh ๏ทป, against Islฤm, to destroy them. With very small thing, because Islฤm world they cannot fight with people with this. But Allฤh ๏ทป He ๏ทป can change. Before was saying โ “Allฤh ๏ทป save whole humanity,” but humanity they are fighting with Allฤh ๏ทป, so we are not responsible for them. Allฤh ๏ทป if He ๏ทป wanting punishing them or not punishing them, He ๏ทป can do what He ๏ทป want. But we asking for Islฤm world, to take this bad thing from us for sake of Prophet ๏ทบ, sake of Salฤแนญฤซn, Muโminฤซn, Awliyฤโ, Mashฤyikh and to be safe, in shฤโa Llฤh. Allฤh ๏ทป give hidฤyah for people. if they not coming to hidฤyah, still insist for fighting, Allฤh ๏ทป punish them. Allฤh ๏ทป make our belief stronger and don’t be with oppressor people. This is right of Islฤm, and don’t say, for political thing, this is not from Islฤm, not from us… It is, from Islฤm and it was like this, in shฤโa Llฤh, until Qiyฤmah. After this it will be like this, in shฤโa Llฤh.
