Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi (qs), Sohbat, 13th July, Ramadan 2013.
As-Salam alaikum ayyuhal yaran. O yaran of Shah Mardan. Marhaba. Welome to you. You came with khair and may you find khair/goodness. May we find khair. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are your admirers. Ya Rabbi, You created us beautiful. Shukur to You our Mawla. He (swt) created Man the most beautiful in all creation. Our Allah, our Subhan, our Sultan. May our hearts open. May Shah Mardan send us power. Our assembly is a spiritual assembly. What is the title of a spiritual assembly? It is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim – A spiritual assembly. Man has spirituality as well as, a body that belongs to dunya. “We should prefer the spiritual side” says Shah Mardan. The spiritual side- spiritual side is a pearl, is a diamond. What is outside of that assembly are the things that fill the toilets. The people…
Let Shah Mardan go ahead now & we slowly learn from him. Al ‘ilmu bi’t-ta’allum. Ta’allamu fa innal ‘ilma Nurun. Learn – learn knowledge that is Nur. Knowledge is Nur, gives Nur. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. What Allah Wills happens and what he doesn’t Will, doesn’t happen. Grant us power and make our assembly be spiritual, O Shah Mardan. We are not created for dunya. Here, this is the important point- We are not created for dunya. Go ahead O Shah Mardan, for Whom are we created? If we are created for dunya, we are animals. Animals have no honour. We are not created for dunya. We are created for our Lord- the Rabbu-l ‘Arshu-l Azim, the Subhan Allah. “Wa Ma Khalaqtu l-Jinna Wa l-‘Insa ‘illa Li ya’buduni”(51:56) Haqq SubhanaHu wa Ta’ala says. Here, Shah Mardan starts the dictation. What he means by ‘this dictation’ is, that he starts supporting, giving strength to our spiritualities. We are in need of this. Madad Ya RijalAllah.
We are not created for dunya. It is a wrong idea; it is a thought that is not true. Man is not created for dunya. (Mawlana sings) “Al-Khaliqu l-Yazdan created you – The Mighty Creator, Al-Khaliqul Jabbar, created you for service in khilqat. Man is created for service. Rabbu-l Izzat dresses a new rank for each service. Here, Shah Mardan Hz informs us of what Man is created for. If our mission is to eat and drink… O Shah Mardan, go ahead. The disciples of the Prophet Jesus said: “May a table from Heavens come down for us”. All their concern and thoughts were after the table. “Do you have no faith? He said. But let me see it that my heart may be at rest”(2:260) Look, these are the disciples of Prophet Jesus. What did they ask for? “May a table come down for us”. The table you asked for from Heavens does not come down from Heavens. It is on earth.
What do you seek from the Malakut/Heavens? You asked for a table, which offers eating and drinking to satisfy your animal being. Shame on you. What are we? You should be aware of what you ask. You should be aware of what you are also. Only animals are just concerned with eating and drinking. Eating & drinking is not the honour of al-insan al-kamil (the perfect man). Al-insan al-kamil’s whole concern is not about eating, drinking or dressing up. Al-insan al-kamil. “Wa Ma Khalaqtu l-Jinna Wa l-‘Insa ‘Illa Liya’buduni”(51:56). “Liya’buduni”. Allahu Akbarul Akbar. You are Subhan. “(I created Men and Jinn so that) they acknowledge Me, they know Me, they tasdiq/affirm My Sultanate and perform service in My Sultanate- they attain to the honour of serving in My Sultanate; they serve Me. I didn’t create them for serving this dunya”. Amantu BiLlah. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Allah did not create us from the category of those who have no concern other than eating & drinking. Allah Allah.
There are all these creatures – their only concern is eating & drinking. (Mawlana sings) “Al- Khaliqu-l Yazdan created you for service”. Shame on us! Janab-i Mawla, Khaliqu-l Yazdan created you for..” says Shah Mardan who speaks from Heavenly knowledge – (Mawlana sings) “Al-Khaliqu-l Yazdan created you for service”. Our minds are corrupted from the beginning, Shaykh Mehmet Effendi. He (swt) created you for service. Allahu Dhu-l Jalal, Who is the Absolute Owner of the everlasting, never-ending Sultanate, created you for service. Allahu Akbar. What a great honour! The way Prophets show people to follow, S.Mehmet Effendi, is the way of service. If the Prophet, alayhi Salatu was-Salam, was concerned about his belly, he could have set tables, eaten & then got busy with tables again. But that was not his concern. Huuu. (M.sings) “He created you for service”. This is the voice of Malakut (Heavens).
Go ahead O Shah Mardan. He (swt) created you for service. For which service? Did He create you to build houses, to build villages, to enjoy dunya? O shameless, no mind, no understanding people! Shame on the people, to what do they attribute the wisdom of their creation? To eating and drinking. And in the end, to the toilet – to fill the toilet. Allah SubhanaHu wa Ta’ala made you responsible for the highest service. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. “He created you for service”. Service. Service for whom? Service for whom? Not for the service of little kids or animals. But for Al-Khaliqu-l Yazdan, for the One Allah, Shah Mardan says repeatedly. That Shah Mardan who is the Shah of Oceans says repeatedly – “Your service is not for dunya”. Your service is – Al-Khaliqu l-Yazdan Allahu Dhu-l Jalal created you for service”. He (swt) appointed us for His Own service. Astonishing. And what are we doing? We do the service of the donkey or horse we ride – Let us eat the best, dress the best, go to the best places. Man is not created for this.
Go ahead O Shah Mardan. “Khaliqu-l Yazdan created you for service”. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi-l Hamd. Say this and see how your life changes – experience the taste and honour. O ignorant Man! “‘Innahu Kana Zalumaan Jahulaan”(33:72). Is it like this? Man is jahul and zalim at the same time. Zalum meaning very unjust, Jahul meaning very ignorant. Do we have a school to teach us, to speak to us about Rabbu-l Izzat, or about how we should serve, or about Whom we should serve? “Well, we have physical education, sports classes for the children”. What benefit does it give? Half of the people on earth became crazy for the ball (games). May the ball remove the ones with this mentality. The whole world stands and people fight each other for a ball game. Well, putting what we call a ball, in the shape of a sphere in a field – putting a football and applying all our power, all our thoughts, all our life, all our mission to it- what kind of a thing is this? “‘Innahu Kana Zalumaan Jahulaan”. Men are oppressors and very ignorant at the same time. The whole world rises for the news. Of what? This sports club had a striking victory against the other. What is its benefit? What did you gain? What did you learn? What did you do?
Everything that belongs to dunya is filthy to the extent that you can’t even look at it. Approach the assembly of Shah Mardan, O yaran of Shah Mardan- O holy one, O who seek the way to the assembly of the holy ones. Look for it. This dunya is not created for playing ball, for the people to enjoy, or to eat & drink. Change your way of thinking. Tawba Ya Rabbi. Khaliqu-l Yazdan created you for service. Allahu Dhu-l Jalal created you for service. What else do you serve? Football! This club, that… The huge city of Istanbul rises up with this. Your minds are not even as big as a bird. A bird at least flies by itself and goes around. What about you? “And we are running after football” they say. You, who are the most honoured creature, is your job playing football? Shaytan made the world go crazy with football. It did that and then set the people against each other with the assertion – “You are ahead & I am behind?” They don’t accept.
Astaizu BiLlah, what did Pharaoh say to the Prophet Moses? Shaykh Mehmet Effendi, pay attention to this Holy Verse. “‘In Turidu ‘illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi Wa Ma Turidu” Ya Musa.(28:19) You want to be a jabbar/tyrant on earth? Look at this Holy Verse, the claim of tyranny. There is the dirty ego in people, where does it drive us to? Pharaoh describes it- Ya Musa, you want to be a tyrant on earth – “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fil-‘Ardi”. What it means with jabbar, Shaykh Mehmet Effendi, is the person who has power over everyone. Pharaoh – his attribute was that, there should be no one like him. They play ball & claim “We should be the first”. They play other games and say “We should be number one”. It is not suitable for mankind to play ball. “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran”. O Moses, do you want to be a tyrant, like Pharaoh claims to be a tyrant? “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fil- ‘Ardi”. It says “Your claim is…” It also means dictatorship.
“‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran”. If your (Musa) claim is to rule the world, I had this claim before you” Pharaoh says. He thought Prophet Musa’s invitation was the same as his invitation. He, himself, said “I am Pharaoh. You should worship me. I am the Jabbar. I can burn, destroy”. You can burn, destroy and then you cry in the middle of the sea: Amantu bi Rabbi Bani Israil. In the end you say, “I also believe in the God of Israil”. There are many like this. All the claims are about this, Shaykh Mehmet. Pharaoh says to Prophet Moses, “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. He means “You want to rule the earth like me?”. Allah Allah. To where does Man’s dirty ego drive him? The helper of the dirty ego is shaytan. It mounted the necks of the people and people say “I am. I am. There can’t be anyone above me”.
The “potin” (shoe in Turkish) who is called Putin says “I am the best Potin”. The man in America, originally African, who can’t even handle small things, says: “You can’t do anything! I have all the power in my hand”. What is the benefit? Why do you keep that power in your hand? Do you mean to make dunya better or to destroy the people? Why do you hold it? These people are Allah’s creation. Their hands are tied- they are madhlum / oppressed people. They only think about their food. You captured these people and drove them into the fire of war. For what? “I am the number one”. And Potin says “No, I am”. “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. Pharaoh’s address to Prophet Moses: “Do you want to be a tyrant?” The characteristic of today’s people is tyranny. He(swt) didn’t create us to be tyrants.
Come to your senses. “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. “I may rule every part of the earth and do as I like. This is what I want”. That attribute belongs to Allah Almighty, not to you! But Prophet Moses was told this. Pharaoh thinks that Prophet Moses is also after dunya, in the dunya hunt like himself. “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. People have become ignorant, they have become ignorant. “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. “You want to be a tyrant who rules the earth Ya Musa?” says Pharaoh to Sayyidina Musa. Hasha, thumma kalla. His (S.Musa) way is the way of Allah. What is the way of the Bani Israil now, still? Their way is tyranny. They are a small country like this but they say “I can rule over the whole world”. Of what value is the dunya you want to rule? Take dunya & put it on your head. Other nations follow them too whether they like it or not. One man appears, they call him “dictator”. What is his profession? Democracy. He cheats the people with democracy and succeeds in his tyranny this way. All the world’s people are like this.
“‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. “O Moses, do you want to be ruler on earth under one dictatorship?” Pharaoh says this. Well, it is Pharaoh’s own profession. But Prophet Moses’ profession is not this. Prophet Moses is for collecting people in the Presence of Allah and making his nation gain honour in Allah Almighty’s service. But they ran away from it. They said “No, we can’t follow Moses”. “Who do you follow?” Al ‘ijl, the calf, (2:51)- this is the mentality of Bani Israil. They say “Al ‘ijl”, “we have a calf made from gold and we want this”. What does it tell you? Moooo! Look at the mentality of Bani Israil. They preferred it and what did it say? Moooo. They call out, saying “We have a calf of gold”. Shaytan goes on your golden calf 1000x a day & makes you eat it. Tawba AstaghfiruLlah. Come to the right way! Keep your honour.
Man’s honour is in serving His Lord. O our Lord, may You accept us. It is Ramadan Sharif. It is Ramadan Sharif. It is the holy month in which the Quran Azimu sh-Shan descended. It came to bring us honour, to dress us with honour. We should show respect for it. “We do”. “How?” “Here, we set iftar tables”. And then you attack the tables like hungry wolves to eat. Where are the advices of the Prophet (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam)? Where is the understanding level of today’s people? They can’t say. Go ahead O Shah Mardan & say. He says “I may say but then many heads will be taken”. Many heads will be taken. The heads of those who leave the service of their Lord will be taken. Then shaytan will turn to them & laugh, “This is where I brought you.” O our Lord. May You protect us from being tyrants. Our dirty ego is after the claim of tyranny, meaning it’s after the claim of Pharaoh- This party, that sect… “We are better”. The other say “No, we are better”. All of them are “‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi”. Read the holy Quran, O our Hojas! Allah Allah. Allah Allah. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi-l Hamd.
May You accept us for Your servanthood Ya Rabbi. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are in need of your teaching. Ya Mardan, you are Shah Mardan. May the holy ones come who will teach us. May the troops who will raise the flags of Islam come. May the lions come. May the lions come who will throw dunya like a ball under their feet. Allahu Akbarul Akbar. Allahu Akbarul Akbar. La ilaha illa Allahu W’Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar wa LiLlahi-l Hamd. May our inside be filled with iman, O Lord. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are your admirers. They say “we want a flag so that we can show the whole world, Who is its Owner. What is our job? Its Owner is Allah and we are His servants. There is no one but Him”.
Tawfiq/success is from Allah Almighty. O our Lord, may You grant us power in this holy month. We don’t want the power of eating & drinking. We want spiritual power. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are your admirers. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahman, Bismillahi r- Rahmani r-Rahim. May it open, may we gain strength. May our majesty increase. May our lives be spent in Your way, O our Lord. You are Subhan, You are Sultan. May You accept our servanthood for the honour of holy Ramadan.
These nights are something given from the great favours of Allah.
Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim The venerable Khwaja Muhammad Nazim (Qs) said, InshaAllah this is a technique which will be useful to all of you after I leave your physical presence and go away. It is Muharram Al-Haram. It is full of love & longing.
For what do we live? Who lives for eating & drinking is an animal. Who lives for servanthood becomes Sultan. O our Lord! May You fill us with Your love & longing. Who is the centre of the love & longing? Who is in the centre? Rasul-i Kibriya (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam). The Prophet of the End of Times (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) is filled with love & longing. To love him, to love the Prophet (sas) – that is what faith is. What a beautiful Prophet is that Prophet (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam). You wouldn’t be able to look at his face for long; it was not possible to look. Such a beauty & magnificence is granted to the Prophet of the End of Times. He didn’t appear that way to the people. If he did, all people would collapse, fall down in sajda and say “This is our Lord”. He didn’t appear like this. Subhan Allah. Sultan Allah. How ignorant the people of this time have become. They ran far from the realities. They are not seeking them. They have fallen to fighting. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Your yaran admire you. Who does not admire is an animal. O yaran of Shahi Mardan, how beautiful is your speech.
That Prophet (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) is the only Prophet who represents Allah Almighty – he is who is the Khaliph of Allah Almighty. Our glorification is to him, (through him) it reaches our Lord. Glorify the Prophet of the End of Times (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam), that glorification reaches Allah Almighty. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Don’t fight, O people! The people of the End of Times have fallen to fighting. Why do you fight? What is the fight for? What did Pharaoh say to Prophet Moses? “Ya Musa, ‘In Turidu ‘Illa ‘An Takuna Jabbaran Fi l-‘Ardi” (28:19). “Do you want to be a tyrant on earth?” Is that what you claim? No. It was him (Pharaoh) who wanted to be jabbar/ the tyrant. Being Al-Jabbar, The Mighty, belongs to Allahu Dhu-l Jalal. Prophet Moses is a servant, so was Pharaoh. But Pharaoh did not admit his servanthood and he vanished. Allahu Allah, Allahu Allah.
~Shaykh al-Akbar, Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)
Faith gives you honour. Faith gives you light. Faith gives you strength.
Where does it all come from? From Rabbu l-Izzat. The esteem and honour Allah gave to His Prophets, will come to us also. Ya. Allah Allah. “Innahu min Sulaymana wa innahu Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim” (27:30). Being the queen of seven huge countries, Balqis searched for honour. She considered herself honourable. But seeing the holy letter (from Prophet Sulayman) her honour fell to zero. Abandoning everything she ran to Prophet Sulayman. She said, “neither do I want my gold, nor my throne, nor my property. I want you, O Sulayman. Your blessed letter has come. Your honourable letter has come. “I want that honour.” She, a Sultan of seven countries, sought honour by the arrival of a letter.
She became a slave to those words. “Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim” had given her honour. She said, “the honour I had wasn’t real. “My throne is golden. Jinn around me, under my command.” She said, “these things have no value. I surrender to the Lord of Prophet Sulayman. I offer my servanthood, I cast aside everything.” O people! Don’t be satan’s clowns! That queen, Balqis, “for those words I sacrifice my estate,” she said. “Prophet Sulayman profited me by those honourable words. He sent me the Basmala. Honour is in this, not in my golden throne or my golden crown. Honour is with Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim”.
She was told to say “Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim,” she said. She gained honour, here and Hereafter. Masha’Allah, the Queen of Sheba. She said, “This property of mine has no value at all. What is of value was not with me. What is of value is with Prophet Sulayman.” She obeyed him. O people! You say it also! Say, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Make sajda. You will be granted every goodness. You will have no fear, here or Hereafter. Wa min Allah at-tawfiq.
