Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
THE 10TH OF DHŪ L-ḤIJJAH, THE FIRST DAY OF ‘ĪDU L-AḌḤÁ IS THE BEST DAY IN THE PRESENCE OF ALLĀH ﷻ.
May this ‘Īd be blessed for all of us. May Allāh ﷻ accept our worship. May we all attain the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ in shā’a Llāh. ‘Īd Mubarak! May Allāh ﷻ protect the Islamic world. May they be on the right way in shā’a Llāh.
We read the ḥadīth sharīf of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. It is the most virtuous day of the year in the presence of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. “Yawmu n-naḥr wa yawmu l-qarr.” “Yawmu n-naḥr” means today, the day of qurbān. The 10th of Dhū l-Ḥijjah, the first day of ‘Īdu l-Aḍḥá is the best day in the presence of Allāh ﷻ. When it is the best day in the presence of Allāh ﷻ, it is the best day for our Holy Prophet ﷺ, Muslims and all mu’mins.
Certainly, there are good nights. But regarding the days, our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying that the 10th of Dhū l-Ḥijjah is the most virtuous day. Because many farḍ and wājib are done on this day. For them, it is the holiest day in terms of time and place. What does a holy day mean? It is the peace of the soul. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives peace to people’s souls, and this peace goes till ākhirah and lasts forever.
