Mawlana recited the Hadith, “And there will be a day for you, oh Zhalim! – لك يوم يا ظالم “. And the symbol of Zulm in history is the Roman Emperor Nero who, in his madness, demonstrated to the world how dark and brutal the human ego can become.

Sohbat of the 29th of December, 2012 – Safar ul Khair

What can we do, we are weak servants. No one can worship Allah Almighty as He truly ought to be worshipped except for the Prophet (ﷺ) and then the other Great Prophets. How can small, weak ones like us do? We may be saved with their forgiveness. Even if we do many naughty, foolish things, we hope that they will forgive us. Al-‘Afuww, Who loves to forgive. Innaka Afuwwun Karim. Our Allah, our Subhan, our Sultan, our Mawlay.

We love You, we love You, we respect You- according to the space we fill, according to our quantity. Who are we? Our Lord Subhan Allah, Sultan Allah. He granted us to reach this holy day too. Shukur Allah. Salatu Salam to His Beloved. We send our praisings to our Umm Hiram Sultan, as the Prophet (ﷺ) praised her. I hope that we stand up under her flag, we rise under the flag of our Umm Hiram Sultan. O Holy one! O our holy Sultan, Fatiha. 

Do you read this after Ayatul Kursi? It came to my heart- that if he reads it, it is very good. Do you read Asma-ul Husna? Affarin. May Allah grant you success, grant you power. May your love be abundant. Praise be to My Lord. 

The creation, the creation of Allah Almighty has no end, has no boundaries. Is there anyone who can know the boundaries of His Greatness & Mightiness? There is no one. We are left so small, tiny in it. There are two things that are asked from us. 

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Don’t forget Allah. What Allah Almighty wants from us: the declaration that all the Prophets called the servants to: “O servants! Love & respect Who Created you.” No need for anything else. Love & respect Allah Almighty. You will be from the accepted ones, in dunya as well as in akhirah. All trees, grass, mountains that you pass through, all of them witness “this is the servant that loves & respects our Lord. We may not harm him”. Even if you go into wild jungles, the wild animals.. We would call a person who has this attribute “tabasbous”- as sometimes cats come & do like this (rub against people). So the wild animals come like this also to such people. 

A person was traveling at night. And when traveling at night, he passed through a jungle. He saw that there is a person there in the jungle. He said: “O servant of Allah, O Abdullah. Here is the most dangerous place. There is no person who enters this jungle & gets out alive”. That man had tied his horse to a tree & was lying there. So this man said like this when he was passing through: “This is the scariest, the most terrifying jungle. The wild animals in it, wal adhu Billah.  Don’t you lay here, get up & move”. He said “Ok, You go on & I lay here”. He tied his horse there & laid down. Everyone fears from the man who fears Allah- every creature fears. 

The honour & worth of man in the sight of Allah is very high. “Wa Laqad Karramna Bani Adam”. We granted mankind such a station, such a Heavenly grant, that no any other creature has it. You are Subhan O Lord, You are Sultan O Lord. What is it that the Lord of Heavens asks from us, that all the Prophets told us? “Love & respect Your Lord”. “I don’t want anything else” He (swt) says. “My servants should love Me & should respect Me”. But we forgot. They made us forgot. Shaytan made us forget. “Fa’ansahum Dhikra Al-Lahi” (58:19) We forgot the dhikr/remembrance of Allah. Aman ya Rabbi, tawba ya Rabbi. Tawba ya Rabbi. 

So I keep thinking about this: “Where are we in this?” Here is what Allah Almighty wants, all the Prophets called “O people, love & respect Who created you”. Nothing else. O Lord, may You send us from Your servants who will discipline us & make us have good manners this way. Shaytan has made the whole world drunk. I say “May his evil not touch us”. And people are rushing, going after him. They are going in huge crowds, rushing. 

Aman ya Rabbi. May You forgive us O Lord, for the honour of Your Great Beloved (ﷺ), for the honour of Your Prophets, awliyas. May You consider us as not responsible. May You consider us in the class of “non responsible” ones. May our day be khair & our end be khair, O son. May we be in safety. May we not follow unbelievers, the doings of shaytans. This is what corrupted the people. O Lord, O Lord, may You not make us from those who run after shaytans. They followed & fell into this situation. O Allah. Tawba ya Rabbi, tawba ya Rabbi, tawba Astaghfirullah. 

“Laka yawmun ya zaleem”. This addressing comes from the Heavens: “O oppressor, there is a day coming for you also”.

I say “may the khair of Safarul Khair come on us & its evil on the mountains”. I don’t say “May it go upon the people”. O Lord, may You send the Master. He will punish those who oppress by inflicting an oppressor upon the oppressors. He doesn’t leave them without punishment. “Laka yawmun Ya zaleem”. O oppressor, there is a day coming for you also. 

Nero burned down Rome. Lions would walk around in his gardens & they were inoffensive & quiet. He wouldn’t feed them either. He would send the prisoners & slaves into these gardens & the lions would rush on them, since they were hungry. And while they kill & eat them, Nero would be enticed by pleasure. What a wicked & treacherous state. May Allah not make us fall into such a situation. May He not leave us to  our egos. He (Nero) would get so happy, don’t even ask. And what happened in the end? He strangled himself. Finally he punished himself by strangling himself with his own hands. This means that oppression doesn’t last. “Laka yawmun ya zaleem”. This addressing comes from the Heavens: “O oppressor, there is a day coming for you also”. Like this, Nero was a man whose cruelty & oppression was on the top level. He had Rome burned down, made the huge city burned down. May Allah not leave us to such a situation. Tawba Ya Rabbi. 

Therefore oppression is not good. Don’t be an oppressor. The oppressed/unoffending one has done no harm to anyone. O Lord, with the barakah of these holy ones… Our strength is only this much. Fatiha. 

May Allah protect you. Every day has a speciality. The day of Tuesday is called the yawm aldam. It is the day wars & battles take place. It is not an accepted day. Starting on Wednesday is good. For this, they would set the day of Wednesday as holiday. 

Wa min Allah at-tawfiq, Al Fatiha. May Allah forgive us.
