The Prophet ﷺ said, don’t make things difficult. Everyone has a different capacity. If you take on too much ‘ibādah, after a few months you won’t be able to carry it and will leave everything. Relax and accept what the Prophet ﷺ said, and don’t listen to Salafīs and the people of Shayṭān.

As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.
Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “Yassirū wa-lā tu‘assirū, wa-bashshirū wa-lā tunaffirū.” Make things easy. Don’t make them difficult. If you make them difficult, people will run away. “Bashshirū wa-lā tunaffirū.” Give good tidings, don’t scare people away, says our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Sometimes people can be harsh and say, “You are making a mistake and committing a sin. It is shirk, this and that. You don’t read Qur’ān properly. Learn and study it.” Not everyone can do this. “You did not make ablution correctly, do it again. You are not praying correctly, make your ṣalāh properly.” There are some people who do this all the time. And there are some governments who do this. They think they are correcting Muslims but really it comes from shayṭān.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla appointed angels who will correct it. Why did Allāh ﷻ create these angels? Not without a reason. They correct our mistakes.
Why does shayṭān do this? Is he doing it for you to pray right? Is he doing it for you to take ablution properly? No. He is making it difficult for people. They do it once, twice, five or ten times and leave it completely. They can’t carry it. What do they say? They say playing hard to get, pushes a love away. Same with this. Shayṭān tells people, “You are not doing it right. You are not pronouncing the letters right.” Let it not be pronounced right. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla appointed angels who will correct it. Why did Allāh ﷻ create these angels? Not without a reason. They correct our mistakes. You should keep on doing what you know. No need to do more.
“Ajallu l-karāmāt dawāmu t-tawfīq.” The biggest miracle is continuity even if you do it with mistakes. However you do it, keep doing it. If others interfere, assuming they are giving you advice, don’t listen. Listen to the words of our Prophet ﷺ, his ﷺ mercy on us. He ﷺ says continuity is the best. Sometimes people get excited to do something. They do as much as they can and then they stop doing the whole thing. They cannot do even a little anymore. They just leave the whole thing. All of this is a trap of shayṭān, a work of shayṭān. No difficulty, there is no difficulty in Islām. Our Prophet ﷺ never ordered difficulty. This world will keep going on. This world is temporary. Continuity is important. If you continue to do what you do, you will reach eternal happiness. And if you try to lift an unbearable load by listening to others, you will lose everything.
May Allāh ﷻ protect us from this. Therefore, let it be easy. May everything you do be easy and continuous, in shā’a Llāh.
Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “Yassirū wa-lā tu‘assirū, wa-bashshirū wa-lā tunaffirū.”
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying: “Yassirū wa-lā tu‘assirū, wa-bashshirū wa-lā tunaffirū.” Meaning: “Make it easy, don’t make it diffucult.” Give good tiding. Don’t make people to be not happy with you. Meaning, we are living Islām, we are living this. No need to be make difficult for ourself. What you learn, we can continue like this. Because continuous, it is the most important thing. If you make heavy, take heavy thing for yourself – you will be make many ‘ibādah, many ṣalāh, many praying, fasting, doing this, doing that – but everybody he has capacity. When go out of capacity, maybe one day, five day, one month, five months, one year can contiue this but at the end it will be finished and not doing anything.
Because many people, they said: “Oh, some people tell us, you are not praying good, your praying is wrong, your reading also wrong, your wudū’ also wrong. You are not doing very good wuḍū’ – so you must…” And this – there is some place, government doing this. Especially Salafī people, they are doing this for people. They are making difficult, they understanding ḥadīth from opposite – “Make it difficult, don’t make it easy. Make people angry with you, don’t give them to good tiding.” Everything [they] make against what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying. Shayṭān he like, also – shayṭān also advise people: “No, your wuḍū’ not good at all. You must do it.” He must doing second time. “No.” Also not happy [with] this, [must] you make it again. Some people make it ten times – make wuḍū’. And if – they are not satisfied with this. They sometimes standing to pray, make takbīr – cannot make takbīr until ten minute to enter prayer. Shayṭān this – making this.
Shayṭān happy for you to make you make good thing? No. Make it difficult for you [in order to make you] to leave everything. What you do from small, even small things he don’t want. He look like you giving advice but after: “Okay, real we are not good believers,” you said. “So we must do better wuḍū’, make praying better, more praying.” At the end, you cannot carry this. Many people they do it one month, two months – they leave everything. Even small thing they cannot do after this. This is trick of shayṭān.
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying: “No. You do small thing but [only] what you can do.” And Allāh ﷻ create – when you read Qur’ān, you – we are most of us not Arabic, Arab people. Sometimes we read wrong. I hear Arab people, they read Qur’ān wrong more than non-Arab. Many thing, because they have one, what they learn in school – not learning Qur’ān in school. In school they thought it is same like other [books]. So they make wrong more than non-Arab. But also Allāh ﷻ create angel for correct[ing] what you read, everybody from mu’min, Muslim. So they have billions of angels they have this work they can do.
You be relaxed. Be accept what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying. Don’t listen for Salafī, for shayṭān people, and shayṭān. This – they are only doing make people to run away from believe, to finish their belief. This is their mission. Shayṭān, he is like this. So don’t listen to shayṭān. Listen for Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Who has this illness, they are said not, wuḍū’ not good. No once. Allāh ﷻ and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam teach us once to make wuḍū’. If you are not happy, tell shayṭān: “You can make wuḍū’ yourself.”
Allāh ﷻ keep us safe from waswās and from bad people, in shā’a Llāh. Wa-min Allāhi t-tawfīq, al-Fātiḥah.
