Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

Happy ‘Īdu l-Aḍḥá to all our brothers wherever in the world they are. May Allāh ﷻ bless this holy day. May it become a means for good things, in shā’a Llāh. May His ﷻ gifts be everlasting, in shā’a Llāh. Allāh ﷻ gives physical and spiritual gifts to people on this holiday. He ﷻ distributes them. We should be happy with His ﷻ gifts. Mawlānā used to always tell one qaṣīdah, a poem. “Laysa l-‘īdu liman labisa l-jadīd, innamā l-‘īdu liman khāfa l-wa‘īd.” ‘Īd is not for those who put on new clothes. In old times, there was poverty among people. If they bought a new dress, they would wear it from holiday to holiday. They used to buy it then. They would wear it clean and buy clothes for that year, clothes, accessories, and shoes. Therefore, people were happy. People were happy when ‘Īd came for they would wear new clothes. Therefore, it says this is not what should make you happy. He should be happy who fears Allāh ﷻ. Because when he fears Allāh ﷻ, his end will be good. He won’t do wrong things. He won’t do evil. His end will be peaceful. It is important that our end be good. People now wear something once, sometimes three times. They wear it five times and buy new clothes. ‘Īd has nothing to do with clothes anymore. There is no joy anymore. But there are things to be happy about. Being happy for dunyā is useless. You should be happy for ākhirah. Allāh ﷻ made a time for these holy days. The gifts He ﷻ gives are important. And His ﷻ forgiveness is important. All sins are forgiven. The reward that is given is known only to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. All this worship made on ‘Īd and ‘Arafah, that is the true value. Nevertheless, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives benefit to those rejoicing on ‘Īd. If they don’t do anything and just make congratulations, wishing well, Allāh ﷻ certainly gives from His ﷻ favours for their thoughtfullness.

Innama l-‘a’malu bi n-niyat. (Whatever you do is based on your intention.) Everyone’s deeds are according to their intentions. Make good intentions. What is our intention? Servanthood to Janab-ul Mawla. What are we created for? For servanthood to our Lord. For revering our Lord.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi ق
O our Lord, dress us in the beautiful adornments You dress the Hujjaj-i Kiram at the Ka’aba-i Mu’azzama. Dress us in the adornment of honor in which You dress the Hujjaj-i Kiram, ya Rabb! May the one saying Allah today drink the wine of love, O my Lord!
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi ق
How beautiful! How beautiful it is to walk around the Ka’aba. How nice it is to run towards our Lord. How beautiful it is to run towards the command of our Lord. It removes all worries. The world – If it were without the Ka’aba, what would be its value, O our son? What value would it have? What is the value of the world, if there is no Ka’aba? Allah says it’s the Baytullah (the House of Allah). Allahu Allah. Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la sharika laka labbayk. (Here I am O Lord, You have no partner. Here I am) Inna l-hamd wal-ni’mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika lak. (for You the praise, the favour, the dominion, You have no partner.)
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi ق
O Allah raising the sun every day, how beautiful, how beautiful! Let us say Allah, let us run towards Allah. How beautiful! Don’t run towards dunya. Run towards Allah. Our souls are under Your command, ya Rabbi. They are sacrificed on Your way, ya Rabbi. May we live for Your love, ya Rabbi. Allahu Allah Allahu Allah Allahu Rabbi ma li siwahu Hu. This is the task of the day. Hu. Saying Hu. Allah Hu. O lovers of Shah Mardan. May we open, may we open, may we be loaded with relief. May Janab Allah fill us with relief. May He fill those walking around the Ka’aba with relief.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi ق
May those saying Allah enter the rose garden of paradise. May those saying Allah today enter it. May those saying Allah today enter. Don’t fear! Say Allah and don’t fear. What shall we do? Slowly, slowly, slowly. It’s not easy. It’s not easy to be filled with the Divine Love. It’s not easy to walk around the Ka’aba with that love. It’s not easy to say Allah with that love. May our hearts be filled with Divine Love. Allahu Allah Allahu Rabbi ma li siwahu. Illa Hu.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi ق
