Ya Muhammed Mustafa ﷺ

Love your Lord, love His Beloved, love those who love His Beloved. If only one drop of the love of the Sultan of Prophets was placed in our hearts we would be changed forever.

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa ala ‘aly Muhammadin wa Sallim

Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshbandi (ق ),

Sohbat of the 1st of March, 2014

May the Lord who makes the sun to rise be pleased with us, may He accept us to be His servants. They do not leave us in distress, those blessed Sultans, O blessed Ummu Han. (Hala Sultan).

Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Those great holy ones do not leave us any difficulties, my son. Those noble ones leave no distress. God forbid. Hāsha thumma kallā, God forbid, never. Thanks be to our Lord who has made the sun to shine on the heavens. Thanks to our Lord, who has created us as sons of mankind. What great honour he has granted us, in that He made us to be of mankind. Mankind. Humankind. Bānī Adam, the Sons of Adam. O our Lord, may our Lord make us of those who don’t grow tired of performing His service. Let us never grow tired in the way of Allah. Inasmuch as it is so, O Shah-i Mardan, we seek refuge from your anger.

May it open up, may our spiritual being unfold and grow strong. Let us spend our lives in the longing love for our Lord, in the burning love for His Beloved. Let us ask our Lord that He grant us strength to glorify Him.

O Shah-i Mardan, who has been endowed with great and amazing powers. May we also be present in the gatherings of Shah-i Mardan. May we never grow weary. He who sits in the assembly of Shah-i Mardan does not grow weary, he does not grow tired of it, he does not grow bored. Why is that? Because Shah-i Mardan is a lover of his Lord, he is a Lover of the Beloved of the Lord, he is blessed. O Shah-i Mardan, let him dress upon us that quality of tirelessness. Let us not tire in the service of our Lord. Allāhu Allāh.

O our Lord, we are weak servants. We are only weak servants, O my Lord. We ask only to serve You, O my Lord. O Shah-i Mardan, your lovers stand in awe of you. How lovely they are, those who are engaged in the pursuit of the Love of their Lord. They don’t ask for this world. They desire nothing but their Lord. O our Lord, we are weak servants. You are our Lord who is Strong and Mighty, let us not grow very weak. Let us not grow too weak to perform service for our Lord. Let us always be strong. Allāhu Allāh. Allāhu Rabbī, mā li siwāhu illa Hū. May it open up, may our spiritual being unfold and grow strong. Let us spend our lives in the longing love for our Lord, in the burning love for His Beloved. Let us ask our Lord that He grant us strength to glorify Him.

There is no accounting for what He gives. But it is not befitting to us to say: O Lord give us this, give us that. No. O our Lord, let it be our lot to be Your servants. How lovely it is to be in Your servanthood. What great honour is that honour. O Shah-i Mardan, O Shah-i Mardan, your lovers are in awe of you. Mā shā’ Allāhu kān wa mā lam yashā’ lam yakūn. O our Lord, let us, Allah forbid, let us address our Lord. We are admirers of the lovers of the Prophet, we are their servants. We ask them for assistance. May their support reach to us.

O our Lord, our Subhān, our Sultān. For the sake of the Lord’s Beloved, give us strength, so that we might serve You. Busy yourself with no other activity. Be busy being a servant to your Lord. Ah, don’t be occupied with any other busyness. Find honour in the service of Him who created you, in the service of your Lord. Therein lies your honour. O our Lord, dress upon us the quality of tirelessness. Let us not grow weary. You do service for the sake of Allah. Let us not grow weary, O Shah-i Mardan.

Let us shine forth, let us unfold. May our powers, our hearts be opened, through servanthood to our Lord.

O Shah-i Mardan, your lovers stand in awe of you. Let us shine forth, let us unfold. May our powers, our hearts be opened, through servanthood to our Lord. Let us try to be of the community of His Beloved. Let us request that, O Shah-i Mardan. Your beloved friends are in awe of you. Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Allāh, Make us to be of Your pure servants. Let Him make it happen, those blessed ones can make it happen. Let us be of those pure servants. Let us be among our Lord’s pure servants. Let us be of those who carry burning love for the Lord. Why have you come to this world? We came to this world for His sake. We did not come to this world for the sake of worldly goods. O our Lord, grant to us strength and power.

There is no limit to the generosity of our Lord. Be a servant who never grows tired, O my son, Shaykh Mehmet Efendi. He does not cause weariness. It is His command: kun fa-yakūn. What does He give to them, to the sincere servants, for the honour of the Beloved of the Lord? kun fa-yakūn. Ask and I shall give. What else could you possibly ask of Me? Amān, ya Rabbī, protect me, O my Lord. Who else can we ask of Him? Let us ask for the glowing love of His Beloved, for his love let us ask. Because Allāh Dhū l-Jalāl loved him, and called him “My Beloved”.

What are you looking for? What do you want? What do you ask for? If you want the rubbish heap of this world, go on, go collect it from the stables. Let him who wishes for the rubbish of this dunya, which is full of stables, let him fetch it from the stable. But whoever is asking for jewels, who is looking for precious gems, he will go and search for them from a jeweller. He will ask of one who possesses jewels. Allāhu Dhū l-Jalāl, He is Subhān, He is Sultān. He said: O my servant, say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Amān, ya Rabbī. He says: Let My Name be remembered – Allah Almighty says this. What a great honour! What a great honour! Let My Name be spoken, He says. Amān, ya Rabbī.

To mention the Divine Holy Name, what a great honour, how great an honour is that! Absolutely everything is in His Power. Everything is as you wish it to be, take all you want of the goods of this world. What you really want is the love that your Lord Almighty holds for you, that burning love is what you should ask for. Say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. With that you will shake heavens and earth. One who says Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, heavens and earth tremble before such a one. Do you think it is an easy matter to say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim? Ask for Allāhu Dhū l-Jalāl. Ask for His Beloved, ask for him whom He loves. So that you too might be beloved. Ask for nothing else. Ask for him whom the Lord of Glory loves. Ask for nothing but this. What are you going to ask for? Speak the name of His Beloved.

Ya Muhammad Mustafa! I have created this creation for the sake of your honour, O My Beloved.

Ya Muhammad Mustafa! I have created this creation for the sake of your honour, O My Beloved. Tell them to love you, tell them to seek you. Let them walk upon your path, and not be afraid. There is nothing greater than this. O our Lord, let us make prostration to the Lord of Power who causes great suns to rise and shine forth in bright light. Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Rabbī mā li siwāhu. O our Lord, if what we are wishing for is coming from our nafs then it has no value. You are what I need, only You, said the poet Yunus. I wish not for this world, nor for the world to come. You are all I need, You alone, O Lord Almighty. It is You I wish for, O our Lord. O Allah, we are so weak, O my Lord. You know what is good. Qawwī dā’fanā fī ridhāk. O my Lord, strengthen us in our weakness for Your good pleasure! That we should be able to bear the Love of the Lord Almighty. And if not His Love, let us carry a bit of love of him whom He loves, even if it is only a tiny part.

Whom did He love? He loved His Beloved. O My Beloved, O Muhammad Mustafa, let them look to you, and they will behold Me. Amān. Allāhu Allāh. Let it unfold, may our hearts and spirits be strengthened. Donkeys carry loads for man but man does not take care of that donkey out of love. Allāhu Allāh. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, if we could enter the Oceans of Love, were we only able to enter into them, what would we not see… You are Subhān, You are Sultān, O my Lord, You. You spoke, O My Beloved, Muhammed Mustafa, come closer, that I may look at you, that I may see you. And gaze at Me, too. Look at Me, O My Beloved; who looks at Me never looks at anything else, never.

Where will you find Me? I am to be found in the hearts of those servants. I will be in their hearts, in the hearts of these servants I will be found. The world does not exist. Dunya is something that the prophets and saints kick with their feet. They do not look at it. They transcend it more and more.

O our Lord, make our hearts pure. Let them be pure, and not full of filth. This world is filth. Will you rest with it? Do not refuse the jewel that is of priceless worth. Al-dunya jifa, the world is a carcass. Do not refuse the jewels coming from the Lord of Glory for the sake of dunya. Do not run after mere pebbles. Employ yourself in service, give yourself on My Way. O Shah-i Mardan, your lovers are in awe of you. Allah gives to our hearts – we cannot bear the love of His Beloved, no, no. There are such persons to whom was given love for the Beloved. Try to carry their love. You will find Me. Where will you find Me? I am to be found in the hearts of those servants. I will be in their hearts, in the hearts of these servants I will be found. The world does not exist. Dunya is something that the prophets and saints kick with their feet. They do not look at it. They transcend it more and more.

O my Lord, give to us also of the love for those holy ones who carry the pure perfect Beloved in their hearts. Let us become lions. Let us become lions. He is Subhān, our Lord, He is Subhān. Whoever says “Allah” will not come to grief. He will not be despicable. He will not clench his hands tightly, they will be open and giving. O Shah-i Mardan, your lovers are in awe of you. Let us gradually become familiar with this. O our Lord, Your Love is with Your Beloved, and the love of Your Beloved, his love is with You, O my Lord. You loved him You called him Your Beloved, let us love him as well. O beloved friends of Shah-i Mardan. How lovely they are! Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Rabbī, mā li siwāhu.

O our Lord, forgive us. We cannot say: I love You. We cannot say: I love You. You must try to carry the love of one of those who loved the Beloved, then you will see what will happen.

Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. What will happen to you? Only He who causes you to speak these words knows the state of one who says Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. No trouble will remain with him. The world is as nothing in their eyes. Zero. However, the same way the donkey was given to man to carry his burdens, just in that way the dunya, the world, was given. Let them use it, He said. For him who asks, who asks for Me, everything will be for him. Whoever does not ask, he will have nothing. O our Lord, if only one drop of those storms of love were placed in our hearts for the sake of the Beloved who is the Sultan of all Prophets, we would be changed.

O our Lord, forgive us. We cannot say: I love You. We cannot say: I love You. You must try to carry the love of one of those who loved the Beloved, then you will see what will happen. Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Rabbī, mā li siwāhu, Hū. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. al-Fātiha.

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, may such jewels bring blessings to you, these jewels that are granted. O our Lord, forgive us. al-Fātiha.

Whatever you hold on to, stick to it for Allah’s sake, have no fear. My son, Shaykh Mehmed Efendi – it’s nothing. It is like the shoe, which you slip on your foot, you wear it, you make use of it. The object of your desire – let it be your Lord. al-Fātiha.

Mā shā’ Allāh. Allah. May our hearts open up. Thank you, Mehmed, bless you.
