The Ornament of Dunya

بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

“Wealth and children are an ornament of the life of the world. But the good deeds that endure are better in thy Lord’s sight for reward, and better in respect of hope” (18:46). Mawlana says to earn real servanthood means to leave the things of this world. We are for Allah, not for our children, or for gold and silver, or the wealth of this world.

Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Mohammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshbandi (qs), Sohbat, February 1, 2014.

There’s a robe which the angels of Allah dress on people. Whoever wears that robe gains acceptance, gains esteem, gains relief.

Marhaba. Marhaba, O friends of Shah-i Mardan! Who is Shah-i Mardan? They are the ones who recite Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. May we be from one of them. O Shah-i Mardan may we be from the holy ones. May we be dressed the robe of courage. There’s a robe which the angels of Allah dress on people. Whoever wears that robe gains acceptance, gains esteem, gains relief. Let’s say Subbuhun Quddus, O Shah-i Mardan, let’s say: Subbuhun Quddus.

Each name in Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, each name, has its own character, Sheikh Mehmet Effendi. Whoever concerns himself with a name (of Allah), keeps reciting that name will be dressed with the blessings of that holy name. That is why, first, may we say: Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. What a majestic address, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.

wa dhakkir fa-inna adh-dhhikra tanfa’u almuminina (51:55) And remind, for indeed, reminding benefits believers.

That benefit is not the rubbish of this world. Look for the benefit, blessings and beauties that belong to “Ind’Allah”. Look for the blessing of Heavens. Go after that, may Allah dress us with that blessing. Not to squander ourselves uselessly. Do you know what charchur (squander) is? The servants of Rabbu l-Izzat should not squander themselves uselessly. The servants of our Lord, Sheikh Mehmet Effendi, must not squander themselves uselessly.

Be a seeker! The beginning of being a seeker is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.

Be a seeker! The beginning of being a seeker is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Basmala Sharif, dresses us with light. It dresses us with light, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. It dresses happiness, it dresses relief, it takes away our pain and grief. La ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasulullah. May Allah not let us forget. Allah doesn’t make us forget.

Satan is busy working to make us forget. May Allah keep satan away from us! You keep yourself away from satan too. The world is satan’s. Busy with worldly affairs, satan tries to keep mankind away from their Lord. May Allah keep you all, and us, safe and away from its evil. We are for Allah. For Allah. Not for this world/dunya. We are not for our children, we are not for gold and silver, we are not for the wealth of this world. We are for Allah, Haji Mehmet.

We are for Allah! You have value when you are for Allah. May Allah give us strength. Let’s say, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. We are for You, Ya Rabbi, not for our egos. We are living for You and for the honour of al-Habibu l-Kibriya. We want to be dressed with the robe of light that comes from Heavens. May we be dressed, Sheikh Mehmet Effendi, my son. May it be opened for you, may your heart be opened, my son. Not for dunya, but may your hearts be opened for Allah, by the ones whom Allah loves. When our hearts are opened for Allah, neither pain nor grief will bother us. One then wears the real rank/honour of mankind. It is not easy to wear mankind’s rank of honour.

Say, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Ya Rabba l-‘Izzati wa l-‘Azamati wa l-Jabarut. Aman ya Rabbi, aman ya Rabbi, we are weak servants, we are Your weak servants. We are asking Your servanthood, we want to do servanthood for You, our Mawla. May we not be left deprived. May we be honoured and dressed the glory of servanthood by heavenly angels. Let’s say: la ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah. How beautiful!

One wears light; each time he recites la ilaha illa Allah, light is dressed Sheikh Mehmet Effendi. Say, say it in every assembly. La ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, la ilaha illa Allah. Light is dressed. We gain relief. We gain honour. We are dressed with honoured, angelic robes of the Heavens. What we want is that robe, that cloth. That robe which is from Heavens, it is an honourable robe, ask for it! May we be dressed with that robe. That robe is the most honoured one among robes of honour: la ilaha illa Allah, Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasulullah. Fatiha.

May your degree be high, Sheikh Mehmet Effendi, may your majesty rise, may your knowledge increase, may your dignity rise, may your honour rise. May you be from among the yaran of Shah-i Mardan. May the ones who see you be dressed with majesty. May majesty be dressed. When Rabbu l-‘Izzat’s majestic name is mentioned, – Allah, Allah, Allah, is pronounced we are being dressed with the robe of majesty.

O Ya Rabbi, we are Your weak servants. O our Lord, You are our Lord! You created us for the honour and for the sake of Your beloved Habib. How beautiful an honour this is for us. You are given permission to say these. They will be opened in your heart. May they be opened. May it be opened, my son. Fatiha.

Everyone’s houses are full of worthless junk. It is worthless. Did you receive heavenly wealth? Did you serve for nearness to the Absolute Possessor of Mulk and Malakut? Did you receive light? Ask for it! That Shah-i Jehan (King of the World) our Prophet, Hazrat Sultanu l-Anbiya, did you kiss his feet? Kiss! Kiss! How is that saying?

wa’sjud wa’qtarib (96:19)  Bow down in adoration and bring yourself the closer [to Allah].

Isn’t it? Allahu Akbar, wa’sjud wa’qtarib.  What a great honour, my son, wa’sjud wa’qtarib, make sajda. One without sajda is satan. One becomes an angel with sajda. One gains nearness, approaches the Master of the World, gains acceptance. Strive to gain acceptance. Fatiha. Amin.

People are busying themselves with the riches of the world. Worthless! One becomes great with great ones. Great with great ones. One becomes contemptible with contemptible ones. Be with great ones as your honour rises, otherwise one becomes contemptible. May Allah not deprive us of the associations of great ones. Say. You are authorised, my son Sheikh Mehmet Effendi. Fatiha.

al-malu wa al-banuna zinatu l-hayati d-dunya (18:46)  Wealth and offspring are the ornament of the life of this world.

Isn’t it? Worthless. Look for worthy ones. Look for worthy ones. You are given permission. Say Fatiha. Pray on me too, come! He is like a lion, Sheikh Mehmet Effendi, heyy faqir! I love him so much, I love all of them. The power of this one is different. You have permission to show your power. You will be, insha Allah, in high spiritual ranks. Put down falsehood, do not fear. You can blow up governments. You don’t get frightened but, you frighten them. Your spiritual power is high. Fatiha.
